You can already name those. Not in front of my DTII but from memory, func+push the knob you want to name will bring up the naming screen for that knob.

Now we have awesome slicing, I would like MPC style functionality in the YES menu that lays trigs down at the slice points.
Love the 1.15 firmware update.
Would love my DT2 even more if there was Kit Management in Transfer 
Oh, and I second the request for ping-pong looping, to help still further in minimising clicks in looped stereo samples

Unless i misunddrstand you, Func+up/down and choose slice mode to have the slices assigned to trigs

Hope you’re right but I thought it assigned slices to trigs already in place, either in a linear or random fashion. I’d like it to actually create the trigs at the points the slices are at. Will check tho.
Nope, trigs need to be in place as before.

I believe @Kubase1 is talking about “lazy chopping” - I wish for this too. Seems like an easy thing to add in the future.
I 100% agree with you in general (as an EE / dev myself), and I never count on future improvements. FWIW I’ve also done a lot of work as a product manager. Often times you can’t win, the users feel slighted no matter what you do. Let’s just say that I’d expect lazy chopping to be 1000x more likely to be added than the laundry list of features people hastily describe as “easy.” And if we don’t get it, we’ll survive.

this is my first post on this forum. I am an owner of DT, ST, DN2 and DT2 and I love the DN2’s track layering feature. I believe that all the other boxes that still receive updates will benefit from this feature.
I would like to request this feature for ST and DT2 for sound design in order to stack individual sounds and create new ones from it that can be triggered using a single trigger only. Moreover, I think if we had track layers on DT2 (along with a ping-pong playmode), we could build a great grain-sampler from it.

would resampling to tracks together not work for layering?
if we could get vocoder or vocal manipulation in the same way sp404mk2 does, i think we’d be golden, and maybe a couple more effects to choose from
