I guess you want to have the ability to do this live, but there’s song mode and there’s pattern mutes, which could help you out here.
8 Macros. Could be assigned same as velocity, aftertouch, pitchbend…
A button combo could temporarily change the 8 knobs into the macro knobs.
Saved with the Sound/Preset of course.
Once the RAM is full, I’d like to be still able to load samples and kits. Maybe there could be some sort of history that would allow to replace samples depending on when they were accessed the last time ?
Yes, it’s for live performances; to not have to rely on my terrible human timing to nail a break or drop.
I agree that song mode is made to launch quantized but then I’m not performing and I also need to plan my song in advance which is opposite of how I want to perform live.
I recently discovered that Oxi One can potentially solve this problem; will read the manual…
I agree with this, and can sign it with both hands, I’m terribly disappointed that it’s not in D2, I was hoping that this feature would be here…
Oh yeah this would be great. I was thinking I’d really love an fx track like ST / AR but that it was highly unlikely to ever happen.
But simply getting some of the effect parameters (or all) available to use in the lfos would be a great happy medium.
It might get confusing given some of the lfos can be envelopes. Without a trig to gate it, I don’t know how that would work on fx params.
would like the option of recording cntrl all into the sequencer
Been wanting this since machinedrum. It would require a total revamp of the sequencer internally
This!
Performance Kit is awesome.
What would be even more awesome is performance mode like on the Analog4: a mode where you can bind multiple specific parameters of multiple specific tracks on each knob.
For instance being able to configure that mode such as turning knob A to control filter cutoff and delay feedback of track 1,2,3 plus chorus of track 1 and 4.
I understand with 16 tracks * however much parameters per track it’s an UX challenge to present it in a usable fashion
- Quick Looper Engine (As a looper pedal)
- Granular Engine
- Play mode (random reverse etc)
- Arp
- Sequencer visualisation on the screen.
Ok. Aside from warble on the fx.
What about elektrons take on STEMS. Since this supposed to be a sampling powerhouse. Why not be able to single out instruments??
Ability to transition from stereo to mono and then invert the stereo audio
Basically I kind of width encoder ( normal stereo - mono. - opposite stereo )
Would remove the need to reprocess to mono and have another sample with left / right flipped channels
100%
especially:
Granular engine
Play mode (random, reverse ) for both sample and sequencer
Arp
Very happy with the DT2, huge upgrade. That said, wishlist off the top of my head:
- Route options for master overdrive
- Euclidian destination options for LFO
- Lock tune parameter to scale
- Lock tracks together for polyphony
- Retrigs for midi
- Song mode improvements, inc pattern start step, saving and copying songs to other patterns/projects
- Arpeggiator for both samples and midi
- Stutter effect would be nice (can do repeats on all which is close but not the same)
- Granular engine would be sick, I’m sure that’s in the pipeline anyway since stretch is halfway there.
Would love a … “are you sure” if you hit function no without having already hit function yes.
Maybe add a two key authentication system to function no for button mashing imbeciles like me …
DT II - it’s time for UNDO!
Automation or motion record. Recording the knob twists for the comb filter for example. Sick! Or allow some sort of morphing between trigless trig states as a start.
Can’t it do this already? Am I misunderstanding? Don’t you just hit rec play and then live tweak until the cows come home?
Sample selection:
- make navigation like OT (right/left arrows for changing (sub)folders - or at least option to do so
- make it possible to select samples from different folders before loading them into RAM at once (checks get deleted when one changes folder right now)
