I am sure they are working hard on the Sample Editing Features we desperately need, but I’m ecstatic at the fact that we got such a great free update in the meantime.
Yes, this is my favorite part! It’s finally fixed!!!
I now have to stop myself from trying to set it to pattern mutes on every power cycle
Yeah still clicks in GRID when slices loop or cut off eachother at a non-zero crossing point - so I guess this fix was for some other related problem.
Yes, that’s a bit more by design versus an explicit bug.
This looks REALLY nice. Thank you.
I don’t really get why they wouldn’t have the GRID slices intersect the closest zero crossing point, like the manual originally suggested. I guess it mightmess up wavetables, but at least have the option right?
Thank you so much!!
Is Grid slicing mono samples also clicking?
um i just canceled my order lol
i love the dn2 though and am very grateful for all of the other new features!
I still get clicks for both mono and stereo samples
Track Swap and Track Silent Select are huge for me, especially silent select when playing live. It took awhile, but they really delivered with this update.
Hi Tarekith good to see you here - I remember you from the Reaktor forum
Yes I’m also very pleased with track swap since it includes all the trigs and the track’s volume.
Fantastic update Elektron!
Super appreciative of the update. Wonder what they mean by “Clicks could sometimes occur when playing back a sample using the WERP and GRID machines.”
Totally reasonable to want the option to snap, but where to set loop point or preprocessing samples has always been a consideration with tape or digital loops.
Eh, I mean it’s simpler to route around for me but I get preferences and reasons to not buy something!
Wow I wasn’t expecting overdub anymore !
Probably my main feature request for Elektrons since 10 years. Hope it works for midi too.
Update time…
Thanks !
Crazy dense updates here, congrats to Elektron team for pushing out so many fixes and improvements. The key tracking modulation is really cool, as is the chord mode. And all the rest, of course, but those two stuck out for me. They drive a hard bargain for us who’ve been sitting on our hands instead of buying DT2 / DN2. I will be strong, but they don’t make it easy
i guess i misinterpreted this as meaning that there was now a solution to the clicks (hopefully by means of either a crossfade or zero-crossing detection)
maybe it’s just an acknowledgment that they exist?
I’m as impatient regarding the sampling features as everyone else, but it’s not like we are in a situation where Elektron is the only hardware Dev on the planet that can’t do sample editing right or something, so as impatient as I am I’m glad that they are taking the time to do whatever it is that they are doing to get it right and there will be a happier result in the end for everybody because of that.
Yep, this one is probably on you.
Why am I at work…fuck sake.
