I’d keep it. Just pack it away somewhere safe and in ten years it will be worth 4 times what it’s worth now.
Closing in on the new price of a model:samples …
so many good updates
- Added the possibility to add parameter locks to all active trigs on a sequencer page or track by holding down a trig and then also holding [PAGE] or [TRK] while editing a parameter.
this ones gonna save me splaying my fingers across trigs
damn, thank you Elektron!!
Track Swap, the feature we’ve wanted for years… Thank you!
been holding off on Digitone 2 but I’m pulling the trigger now.
pairing DN2 with Digitakt 2 and putting everything else in the storage closet for the spring and summer months.
This one is huge for preparing Live acts.
I still get lots of clicks with WERP on tonal samples when pitching down and the segments overlap eachother, but not when pitching up and there is space between the segments.
great update tho.
Chord mode, overdub, and track swap yayyyyy!
Delightful news for the first day of spring.
My favourites:
The update contains amazing features, and there are so many of them! The new platform seems to pay off as well regarding development speed.
Thanks Elektron for this excellent update!
Sorry for my ignorance, what is the new platform?
The Digitone 2/Digitakt 2 use a much faster chip / embedded development “platform” than the older models.
I can’t speak for how much more rapidly (if any) the release cycles would be but features are skewing to the newer releases because they can run more tasks simultaneously.
I’m sure a few usability improvements can be backported to the older platform here and there.
Cuckoo called the DT2 the first product on the new platform here
well that didnt take long did it
Yes, more details for the interested at DigiTakt II teardown - #22 by mechakorp
This train doesn’t make any stops. It just keeps rollin’ on.
Not for samples, but you can use it to sequence an external MIDI synth in a polyphonic way.
Heh, you can always wait for next update. People were loud regarding mono sampling, so…
I wonder if this has changed ?

I still get lots of clicks with WERP on tonal samples when pitching down and the segments overlap eachother, but not when pitching up and there is space between the segments.
are there still clicks on the grid machine?
