Digitakt II 1.01A : Bug reports

thanks! i had considered this just hadn’t really had the time to try to set it up that way.

No worries, your screen looks completely fine.

The dim stripes are standard oled behaviour. Each of the lines has a maximum current it can draw, so if more pixels are on they all get a bit dimmer on that line.

Even oled televisions/monitors have this, but since they can adjust the brightness per pixel the whole screen just gets dimmer if more of it is lit up. Or the whole screen is brightness limited. So no lines or artifacts show up on those.

“+DRIVE full” after transferring ~200MB of samples, and it didn’t even get through all of them. ~2000

I have somth similar. 100% straight and Warped samples sounds wierd and wonky when I chop them with slice machine

have u updated transfer software? known bug iirc. fixed in latest release.

Many thanks.
Very glad to keep it because I’m otherwise super happy.

Well, it’s been nearly 1 whole month since DT2 owners have been sat with a long list of issues related to fundamentally important areas of the DT2’s basic functionality, and unless I’ve missed something, which may be the case, there hasn’t been a sniff of a suggested timeline from Elektron as to when they will release an update. This doesn’t sit well with me, and is actually quite unacceptable.

I think Elektron is not stingy when it comes to updating, fixing and adding features. Some other brands make you wait a very long time, even years or eternity …

they never really give any indications of roadmap publicly, and updates can take time, but elektron generally nail everything eventually. tbh somewhat lengthy waits for updates to me mean they stress test everything to a high level before release.

Exactly this. I would rather them take their time and get digitakt 2 to a really solid place with the next update than have them chasing their tails with weekly releases for bugfixes.

I agree, however they should have done that before releasing the actual unit.

can’t disagree with you there

Hmm, my DT2 on a rare occasion loads empty sample when browsing samples on +drive(factory content), can’t easily reproduce this bug, is this a known bug?

I get a weird behaviour after unloading samples from RAM. Any new samples I load after unloading some, are placed in slots continuing from where the unloaded samples were.

Eg. Slots 1-10 filled, I remove 8,9,10 and then load some more, they are loaded to slots 11 and onwards, leaving the blank slots in between.

So everything has been fine for a month, and now this. Should I be worried ?

Edit : I adjusted the volume level on the track and suddenly it came back to this :

I don’t know what to think …

By empty do you mean the sample slot is empty, or does the sample make no sound. I’ve had the latter.

sample makes no sound, and when looking at the SRC waveform, it’s just silence.

I had the same screen issue after 2 weeks. I received a replacement from my dealer yesterday. I also let Elektron know via a support ticket. A few others on this thread have had the same issue.

My replacement had 1.01A already installed so hoping it is from a better batch of components.

I got those symptoms after a biggish transfer that had many failures. There were other problems as a result of the transfer and I reported those to elektron, waiting for confirmation they have identified the problem.

This is very interesting news. Could mean it’s not hardware relative maybe?
Can you replicate this?
Have you reported this to Elektron support?
