so you think you’ll get about 8 hrs out of it, have you seen anything that lasted longer?
Soooo, looking for longest battery time, from the smallest battery FORM FACTOR…
has anything new popped up on anyone’s radar lately that would fit the description?
Hello everyone! Lots of good advice! I chose a bunch ravpower 26800 with RipCord + digitakt. And it seems to work now, but I’m afraid there are no risks of damaging the Digi?
Hi… wow. This a looong thread
So… I’m bit of a electronicsphobe with a unhealthy dash of exploding anxiety.
Does elektron do a power pack with cable solution?
Ah yes, anxiety. Let me try to help.
Elektron don’t have a solution.
@barriott I use an XT power bank, XT20000QC3 I bought for the purpose of external mobile DT power. It still works perfectly.
I connect it to my DT with a BirdCord connector. Their website made it easy to get the right cable and adaptor to make sure the DT end was the right size.
Hope that helps…
@barriott BirdCord USB 12V centre + with the 2.5mm adaptor is what I have…as recommended on the songbirdfx website
Much appreciated. Fanks
Forgive me… the power bank your recommending isn’t available here in the UK.
INIU Power Bank, 22.5W Fast Charging 20000mAh Powerbank, PD3.0 QC4.0 Portable Charger, 3A (USB C In & Out) with LED Display Battery Pack for iPhone 14 13 12 11 X Pro Max Samsung S21 S20 iPad etc https://amzn.eu/d/3c8avu2
Just been looking at alternatives and came up with this. It’s about a 5th of the price and specs wise looks as though it’ll do the job. Coming from a cynical idiot… there’s a catch isn’t there
Hmmm. I’m in the UK and got mine here but maybe 2 years ago so yes, cant see it available here either.
I just don’t know if the one you’ve found is right. My one is advertised as 12 V, 15V and so on. It’s that 12V bit and I dont remember my physics well enough to advise. I think there are a number of suitable power banks in this thread…give me a moment and I’ll do a scroll up
Oh yes, Just above our conversation @Habit_Reform says they’ve bought that same INIU PowerBank you found and says it works,.,.,
Go for it @barriott
Yeah can confirm it works fine
Nice one gentlemen. I’ll see you at the breach
Also Birdcord 12v user here, running from Baseus Adaman 65w PD, it works really well. I almost never use the wall adapters anymore because the battery charges faster than I can drain it with both Digitakt and Digitione running off of it haha
Hi Everybody,
I own some Makita tools and already have a bunch of 5.0Ah 90 Wh batteries. Am I correct I can power the OT with this adapter (see link). I’m not good with understanding the specs, so I don’t know this type of battery could be harmful.
If possible you could switch batteries directly when empty which would be great
If yes, could you also recommend a cable from this adapter to the OT?
Merci
The Birdcord 12v and Baseus Adaman 65w PD combo works very well with the Digitakt for portable jams. I recommend this approach. Dieter at Birdcord FX was very helpful and his company offers many different cables/cords for devices. My dream of playing my digitakt in Antartica can finally become a reality after I save enough money for the boat trip, arctic jacket, and pay off my gambling debts to the Yakuza.
damn bro I just bring mine for when AC isn’t convenient or available
I’m gonna need a vid of penguins vibing out to your jams!
hey there,
the makita battery works good with the Mellif adaptor. So it’s a cheap solution if you already have batteries and it’s convienent bc you can switch batteries instantly
Hi.
Good info.
I use Milwaukee tools so also have lots of batteries and a USB adapter.
Are you using a Birdcord as well?
Cheers
No just bought a normal adapter cable and the mellif adaptor on the battery. Not shure Milwaukee has similar alternatives
Thanks for the reply. I already have the Milwaukee USB adapter but wasn’t sure how you connect to your device.
I’ve since reread your post and see you have an OT. Can that be powered direct with USB?
I would be powering a Digitakt or Syntakt which I believe needs to use a birdcord/Ripcord
