@gbravetti: this looks very promising. however, I don’t have Push - is there a way to use your tool anyways (and be it just for testing purposes?)
@milescosmo: can you please explain a little more how you use the OT & A4 to match together in SongMode? when having one row per song on the A4, how do you sync OT’s arranger rows to them?
I don’t think having just one row per song will fit my needs, as I would like to have some points where the arrangement loops infinitely so that I can tweak some knobs etc, and then jump to the next part of the arrangement.
Also, multi map feature sounds like a workaround (at least for the A4), but I bet it’s hard to keep the overview over the arrangement.

If you have an arrangement setup and a song setup then the one slaved will just follow the other one, and by that I mean that it doesn’t keep track of what the OT is playin it just knows where it’s up to. You have to make sure it’s playing the right patterns at the right time but if you set it up right it will always playback the same. I found having one track per row in song mode to be the neatest way to work, it makes copying whole songs from one song file to another really easy, and trust me when I say that that is a handy thing to be able to do easily. As for having looping sections I’m sure this can be done but I don’t do it myself so I can’t really give much advice on the matter. I know the OT’s arranger can do it and I’m fairly sure the A4’s song mode can too. You just need to think of each device as doing its own thing but they’re following the same timeline. I hope that is clearer for you.
[color=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961)]One more point and I think this goes for a lot of people on this forum: stop reading Elektronauts, go to your machines and use them, have the manual with you and just keep using them, bash your head against that metaphorical brick wall. The only reason I know these things is because I spent the time to learn them. It wasn’t easy, it was frustrating at times but in the end I learnt what the limits of these devices are and I worked within those limitations to get what I wanted. I think with elektrons products you just need to sort of sweet talk them into doing what you want; they’re very subtle and delicate machines and they require time more than anything else for you to understand their nuances. Anyway, I’m not trying to be an A-hole I’m just saying that the best thing any of us can do is just use our instruments, read the manual again and again and don’t expect everything to happen super easily. You want the results then you need to put the work in, and if you do you’ll be rewarded. Keep at it man, it’ll make sense soon
