Yeah I got waylaid by Jamuary too, and then dataloss.
I’ve been pretty busy with the daily(ish) jams but I finally got around to working on this battle last night and made some patterns I really liked. A good start!
I’d taken the Digitakt into the TV room to watch The Pit Stop with my wife while I worked on patterns. Around midnight I turned off the DT without saving the project, unplugged it and moved it back to my desk. Dumb of me.
When I just turned on the DT, it’s forgotten everything since the last save, and those patterns have all evaporated! I guess I unplugged it too fast after turning it off?
So anyway, obviously I blame my wife for this. Or maybe my cat. Or Bianca Del Rio. Anyway, not me.

Sorry, I was just liking your posts so that you’d know I notice and appreciate your efforts.
I’m actually way too burned out from doing 2 battles in December and then part of Jamuary to really have anything left in the tank for this.
You guys have way more motivation and much higher self-esteem for competition than I do so consider me impressed.
Looking forward to hearing the playlist though and also thanks for the shout!

Don’t run yourself ragged in an effort to fill the void. Don’t let it determine your worth, because that is not a measure of your value, it is only an indication of the amount of time you have to do many things, and music is just one of them.
Your efforts are noted and appreciated by many people here, and if you’re feeling fulfilled in what you’re doing then that’s all that matters, but anyone can burn out creatively so please keep that in mind.

Man I wanted to but I don’t even have ideas worth recording, let alone a full loop or song. This month took a lot out of me for work and personal reasons and I’m gonna have to bow out again. I swear one of these days I’m actually going to finish one of these.
