Which 3 pieces of gear would you get or keep if anything goes? DAW not included but it should be used only to record and not as a sound source. Not counting controllers either, such as Hapax or a midi keyboard. Also, let’s try to keep it on sound sources so no FX pedals unless you feel they are critical to have.

AK is cool af. If I didn’t have so many semimodular monos already I would jump on A4, and might do so anyways. Great other choices too but it’s just a dream scenario so I’ll let you upgrade to the Digitone 2!

Exactly! I didn’t get around going deeper into the OT yet as I’m focused on finishing compositions on the other two devices. But I want to get into its guts once I have the other stuff ready. What an insane combo, I still feel like I have endless ideas to explore… those lovely elektrons triggered some chain reaction in my brains I can not explain 
Actually I had the DN2 (twice!) but prefer the DN1 (e25 edition in my case.)
How come? I also use the FM-Tone basically always but they improved other aspects too. Third LFO, 8 bars, more filters, more voices and tracks so you don’t have to soundlock.
The simple elegance of the UI. I generally don’t need the added functionality of the Mk2, although a third LFO would come in handy sometimes.
Actually looking around, if I really could only have three of the things here (besides fx units and DAW) I’d probably go:

Vermona DRM1 mk4
BUT if we’re talking about any three things on the market, I’d have to reconsider. One would still be the AK, it’s my desert island synth. Would have to think about the other two… would probably be unobtanium pieces like the Waldorf Wave and Baloran’s The River.
