Craziest live Rock perrformances ever filmed

Nothing is more chaotic or wild than this all-time classic from da man himself Marc T-Rex Bolan … from the screaming back-up singers to Marc himself just wild like nothing else~!
Well, you’re built like a car
You’ve got a hubcap diamond star halo
You’ve got the teeth of the hydra upon you
You’re dirty, sweet and you’re my girl

Marc never took any music lessons. He taught himself to play guitar, piano, violin, Sax and Trumpet all by watching no more than 10 minutes of film of someone playing. The guy was brilliant and talented. He wrote poetry starting at age 7 and got a job as a model when he was 14. The list of artists he influenced is to big to list. He was the first and created Glam Rock and good friends with Bowie. He wrote all the music and lyrics for T-Rex. No one changed the face of Rock and Roll in the 70’s more than Jimi Hendrix and Marc Bolen.

This performance has been etched on my mind since the first time I saw it, it doesn’t get much more chaotic than this!

Ha, I saw them play a couple of days after that first went out on TV. I was taking a friend along who wasn’t familiar with them and I think he started wondering if he was going to survive the show… Until I explained that the audience didn’t really act that way

Trail of Dead were another great live band around that time who tended to be very chaotic onstage.

Kid Rock sucks but damn if this isn’t one of the greatest entrances in live music history. He should have been a pro wrestler.

I saw Mars Volta on their early shows in the front row at a small club and there was several times I feared from my physical integrity! :grinning:

I loved “Trail of Dead” too but never got to see them live, sadly.

Such a shame how things ended with Neurosis, but I did get to see them three times and they were always really intense and great. This is one of my favourites & I still put it on every time I come home drunk but don’t want to go to bed yet.

Huge T-Rex/Bolan fan. What a lyricist, especially in the early years. I love a lot of the early glam stuff - Sweet, Slade, Bowie, and most of all, Roxy Music (sadly, you apparently must go to Youtube to watch this performance, but it’s totally worth it):

This is it for me. Legendary. You have to watch the whole thing though, trust me.

I thought of this

That’s one of the craziest live shows yeah.
