I bite my nails when I’m nervous. Reading about this whole virus thing and working in a major city is making me nervous, which makes me want to bite my nails. Wanting to bite my nails makes me nervous, which makes me want to bite my nails.

The Road was a great book. Didn’t see the movie. I actually read it right before having my first kid, so it really resonated with me at the time.
On another note I just had the flu, or what they told me was the flu. This was probably the worst flu I’ve had in years. Like can’t walk, fever and coughing my brains out flu. I’m still coughing from it. So if I have to go round two with coronavirus I’m hoping maybe those antibodies will decide to fight the good fight.

Or you may have already had it. This Virus has been around longer then we think. China attempts to suppress information did the rest of us no favors. I also had the worse flu in my life about 5 weeks ago. Scientists are thinking this may have been around 6-8 weeks before we knew about it. People are now just getting tested.

I can imagine as a father-to-be that would pack a wallop. Very powerful book indeed. I think the movie is good too. Does it justice.
Oddly enough I just remembered Guy Pearce is in both The Road and The Rover. He should do a third like these to make his very own depressing dystopian movie trifecta. Maybe something about the coronavirus? Hmmm. Hope not. I hope that would make for a boring movie, or at most an interesting documentary about media-induced panic and fear. I guess we’ll see.

But yeah I’m just north of Seattle and I’m surrounded by people who have normalcy bias , and they aren’t going to believe in the virus until it’s too late and most of these people don’t cover their coughs or sneezes and are going to go to public events no matter what and bring it home to their families if they do get it , also update there are two transmission chains of COVID19 circulating in Seattle now !
