Computer Video Game Recommendations

I’ve got the message before you deleted it and I still didn’t get to the bytebeat thing, I’m still ~15 hours into the game and I avoid any tutorials/videos so I’m not even sure how I’m getting there yet, I just got my first freighter and I realize I can build worlds both on and off planets, so I understand this game is very deep and I can’t wait to get to the bytebeats and play with it

Been playing non stop!! My favorite series ever, pretty much ruined other soulsborne games for me!

I got invited to the closed alpha and was hating the changes, but decided to cop, and i am glad I did, so far i am enjoying even more than my beloved nioh 2. The ninja/samurai transform has grown on me after not digging it in the alpha.

Such a great game!!!

I felt stuck thinking nothing can beat the feeling of Cyberpunk 2077,
then I tried Arc Raiders :scream:

It’s a different type of game, but so immersive & intense! The psychological experience of PvPvE is also amazing. Sound design is great too. Yeah I’m hooked

I like it! The QoL stash changes are amazing, and the new class is fun and seems to fit the game well enough.

Now, dare I wish for infinite (paid in gold/runes/gems) respecs? Limited respecs are too outdated IMO, and bad for people not pouring tens of hours into the game. The chance of messing up is too large and often pushes me to play a pre-made build instead of trying to experiment myself.

Yeah for sure man. Took me a second as well. Ive taken it as a quick way to go from nimble ninja, to big hammer slinging samurai, which has been pretty effective. The one thing I’ve always appreciated about the Nioh series is that the deaths dont leave such a bad taste in my mouth as some others in the genre do. Usually I die because I get to eager and just try to get in one more attack. I don’t run into too many b.s. deaths that do my head in. I love the combat, and the fact that you can jump over attacks sometimes. A lot of the fighting ends up being really cinematic sometimes. Plus who doesn’t love the ability to continue to decapitate your enemies as their death animation plays out.

Nioh 3 is really fun!

I played the demo on PC and it was wicked fun! If you like games like Sekirro and Dark Souls then it is a must play. The demo is no risk. I am waiting for it to go on sale.

Sekiro is among the greatest games I’ve ever played. Is it a good idea to start with nioh 3 or should I play nioh 1 and 2 first?

I been dotting around a bit lately… No Rest for the Wicked, a little Cairn, and Sword of the Sea.

I thought the recent State of Play was pretty sweet, Kena 2 reveal at the start was a nice surprise.

I’d played the original little a few years back when I had a PS5, really nice art style and vibe, gameplay is nice too.

Decided to pick up again on PC last night and had a pretty nice few hours with it. Got a Zelda-ish Pixar vibe / mood, lovely music. Kinda feel like going through it a bit more ahead of the sequel, as it looks pretty great, too.

I refunded a pre-order of Marathon on Steam, was a bit sucked in by the attractive graphics, tho I know in my heart I don’t really play shooters, I’d probably play this one for half an hour and not really pick it up again.

Having a shot on the free Beta weekend in a couple weeks is probably a smarter play to get a bit of a taste for it, see how it goes from there.

You can jump right into 3. You dont play Nioh for the storyline. Its always the weakest part. Although 1&2 are both great fun as well though.

true and I played Nioh but not Nioh 2 and no issues playing demo for Nioh 3. That said, Nioh 2 is on sale this weekend so I bought that to play it while I wait for Nioh 3 to go on sale.

I’m playing Elden Ring again. I freaking love it. This will be my third play through.

Oh man heck yeah! I’m so glad No Man’s Sky is still getting so much support. It was a type of space dream game for me back when I was playing Elite or Noctis.

Noctis is pretty obscure but here’s a video for the curious

Now I’ve been playing NMS off and on for almost a decade! It’s incredible in VR. I never would have guessed games could eventually be like this when I was a kid.

the landscapes in this game is unbelievable, I literally spend more time doing pictures than actual missions haha, they really got it balanced in terms of colors, realism and futuristic look.

I also love the space stations docking scenes, it’s truly a beautiful game.

great game and I have been patiently waiting for the DLC to go on sale.

That bottom screenshot just inspired me to install it on my ps5. I played it a few years ago on ps4 but thought it’s worth trying again

I’ve also been playing Thank Goodness You’re Here and it is absolutely hilarious and so wonderfully Northern. Would love to know how the jokes translate to non-British people

I just started Mewgenics…my mind is blown. I am a huge Binding of Isaac fan, logging over a thousand hours. I remember Mewgenics was teased more than a decade ago, and I thought it had been abandoned.

I don’t follow videogame news very closely, so when I saw reviews coming out for Mewgenics it was a huge and wonderful surprise. I only have a MacBook Pro for gaming, and Mewgenics is decidely (non)PC.

I bought a Steam Deck for this. I regret nothing!
