Quite funny they kept footswitches like guitar pedals and did the demo with bass and guitar. It seems to me that it’s a device mainly thought for a desktop use. I can’t imagine the guitar player bending on the floor to navigate presets or clicking footswitches for ages to reach the preset wanted.
I would need a Thru but an OUT i’m not sure why… On the Cosm it is mentioned OUT/Thru so here
If I try to order it to Europe, it says 449€ taxes included which is quite good IMHO. I had bad surprises with the customs and I’m glad they take that in charge.
Do we know how long gestures can be recorded? This seems like the coolest feature for me. Even if it’s just a few seconds, it seems to be very straightforward to manually put complex LFOs on any parameter.
Not sure it has to see with the auto channel. A MIDI Thru can pass the incoming MIDI signal straight to the next device which an OUT is not supposed to do AFAIK.
For France it says 478 eur. That is a huge difference and the VAT here is 20,6% so I wonder how it can reach 543eur in Netherlands.
thats seems about right, although to be fair if I calculate 21% from 399, i get a final number of 532. So it does seem a bit high. I will contact them, but on the other hand, we are only talking about 10 bucks here.
Exactly! I love that my Microcosm has a dedicated thru!
The more I think about the device, the more sense it makes. Combining two rows that are mir for coloring/fattening the sound and then two for modulating the sound is a simple, yet really promising idea. Especially if there’s a mix of rather traditional effects and more experimental ones.
Could potentially replace a lot of other pedals. I guess the controls and quality of the algos/how well they are optimized for playing together will make it hit or miss. I’m a bit worried that 2+2 buttons per effect is a bit limiting control wise, but might also be a plus.
