Well… I did not had the best experience with the Chroma Console; the stereo outs were slightly different from left to right, so running a mono or stereo signal thru the pedal ended with phasing / comb filtering issues, even on bypass.
It was impossible to use at all. I surely had a faulty unit. But, I decided to test it anyway on a single output and all in all, I think that the Analog Heat + FX sounds way better. The Analog Heat only misses out a few effects like “reverse” etc. But for thoses, I will use plugins in the Daw.
I think he’s trying to record knob movements into a DAW?
@chapelierfou did you check the global settings on page 38 (of the pdf manual)? there’s a couple different midi options in there. not sure which may be causing this behavior though… also are you using the USB or the DIN output?
@Tchu + @chiasticon
Yeah, record automation in the DAW, or simply tweaking parameters on the hardware but have the changes to be reflected/updated on the software editor.
I’ll check the different modes from the manual, but at first glance it seemed that it was not outputting MIDI except for the clock.
This is good to hear, after a lot of people complaining that they never really updated Microcosm or listened/responded to feedback. Although to me, CC feels pretty complete as is.
Ah this looks brilliant. Any chance you’d share? I set up mine with the Electra One controller and it’s amazing. I have to put my preset for it in Electra’s library now that I think of it.
This has been mentioned before on this thread, I doubt they will ever do that. It goes against the focused nature of the pedal and the streamlined design that comes as a result. I don’t think they want to see videos where the lights are not showing what‘s actually happening.
I personally wouldn’t want the option, because I would then constantly think about different options instead of making music. And be confused when returning to the pedal. If I want more flexibility, I can use a DAW or make my own pedal chain.
