Chase Bliss effects pedals

It’s a real-time glitch and granular sampler with fx and some looping. With emphasis on real time.

Altho, it’s the first Chase Bliss demo in some time that’s not full of useful examples.

It’s a lot of ”Cool, but when would I use this?”

So could this replace my Microcosm? Let’s see, what do you think?

Demo looks like it might not be ideal/useful for sequenced synths/drum machines?

It so much easier to sync up microcosm though…

I just read the manual and wasn’t too interested at first, due to hassle of syncing I had with the mood mkll. But there is a hidden tap tempo function on onward which makes it much more attractive to me.

and not full of character either…

It kinda reminds me of a sort of pre-patched cocoquantus, though without the lo-fi noise that comes with it.

With the emphasis on the dynamic adjustments to playing, it seems closer to the infinite jets than a microcosm. Like the infinite jets, that probably leads to the best results coming from good guitar players that play dynamically and not necessarily more static drum machine or synth signals.

I do not need it. I do not need it. I do not need it.

Exactly what I thought as well when I watched the demo. I do wonder what it could do to audio of a band playing / me jamming being fed into it via a mic that’s in the room or moved around. And how useful it would be for vocals, where you could control the pedal by singing.

Yeah too far in the glitchy realm for my interest, looks like it would take a lot of knob-fiddling to make usable sounds (for me).
I’m more interested in gizmos that still let me play my instrument in a somewhat normal way so luckily I’m not tempted by this one.
I’m sure people will find ways to make great sounds with it, though.

Sounds good, but not as weird as Mood or Habit, and I have both of those already. I think I’ll skip this one. I’m still dropping coins in a pot for Lossy, and hoping they have a sale when I I’ve saved enough for it.

I must admit I don’t really feel it.

It was the same with Lossy though, until I realized that at its core Lossy is actually a frequency shifter and now it’s my favorite CB pedal

Just watched the walkthrough. Sad they only used Rytm for like 5 seconds, the first glitchy beat was promising. Could be really interesting for vocals. Overall, the demo relied way too much on a „but look how bonkers it sounds while I‘m just playing one guitar chord“ vibe.

Something like this, I’d imagine.

Edit: Aaaaand I ordered the pedal
