Iāve had a CBA Onward since the Mystery Box sale of 2024, but have struggled with it a little. I spent some time with it this morning trying to get a better handle on it. Sometimes it could seem like nothing was happening because I had the fade time set too long, so a good method to me is to use the short fade switch setting when trying to adjust other settings like sensitivity or octave.
Hereās a short improv I did this morning, from the Tonverk, starting with a multisampled Yamaha CP70 piano with a little slow attack LP filter applied. On the Onward I was doing some Holds on both sides and adjusting Texture, Octave and Error settings etc.
Tonverk CD Out to the Onward, back in to AB then to main mix. No Tonverk effects added, recorded to Tonverkās internal recorder, trimmed & normalised in Audacity.

I ordered a Big Time when it was first announced, but then chickened out and canceled my order about a month ago. I was concerned it might be more focused on weird than it was on 80ās rack delay sounds. I still might buy one again when they are readily available and Iāve heard more demos, but Iām still on the fence about it.
Iād also like to see Chase Bliss ship these with 25-50 factory loaded presets to use as ājumping offā points. Synths ship loaded with presets (that can be altered and saved) and I donāt think itās too much to ask in a $1k delay/fx pedal.
Iām confident the BT sounds fantastic.
My takeaway from user comments so far is that it gets into the saturated territory quickly, so I think thatās the key decision point. Do you want the saturated tones from the interplay with the limiter, thatās the main focus of the pedal.
If not there is the Timeline MX or countless other options.

They usually design their manuals in a way to give examples of how to explore the pedal by showing which knob positions and dip switches to use. I donāt know how many presets the Big Time has, but they did include some of these examples on CXM as presets and explained in the manual what theyāre aiming at there. I donāt think you could ask for more.
Personally, I hate it when something comes with presets you will never use and possibly even isnāt deletable like in DSI synths. But I see what you mean.

I decided to keep mine as I finally found a setting I liked that works in my current set up.
I do wish the FX allowed you the full sweep of the knob though - half a sweep is just not enough resolution!

For those asking about MIDI connections (1/4" jack type). I can confirm the Strymon conduit works with the Chase Bliss pedals. You need to reconfigure it from out of the box. But this is very simple and is done on a per output basis. I have two Chase Bliss and two Strymon pedals connected to mine and all works seamlessly.

that mood pedal looked really interesting then i realised its probably possible to do it in an octatrack, but that is true of most things it seems

I guess you can make everything a lot more complicated and convoluted than it needs to be and suck the fun out of it by trying to force an OT to do it. Or you could just buy the thing thatās dedicated to do this thing well and make it fun

L+F is marked 02 and Rev C marked 01 leading folks to believe its a new pedal.
Feom a couple snippets its definitely some kind of stereo chorus/modulation reminiscent of 80s tones
