Detroit modular. Called them this morning said theyāre still expecting them early September and I should be in the first batch.

I did a pre-order with Boredbrain and the earliest ship date is September 21st. They added a mod that can be done to make the direct outs post-fader instead of the default pre-fader.
Involves some soldering but is reversible. Details yet to be announced.

I just hope that some of the units are dedicated to local stores that pre-ordered them. Iām first on the list.
Thanks for this update, I was hoping some US 'naut had ordered from Boredbrain directly and would get the more specific email from them. While mustering more patience is somewhat painful (haha :D), itās good to know that my pre-order from Schneiderās wonāt be fulfilled before late September.
Few more details from the email.

Question for the group. Iāve watched the long form video from Surco and read as much as possible in prep for delivery. One thing I havenāt found stated clearly is whether Iāll need to boost the signals on the FX sends to match eurorack levels if I want to use my rack on the sends.
Seems like they definitely made it with euro in mind, and Surco talks about sending fx to his rack, but I have only seen references to it being able to handle euro signals at the inputs.

My guess is its line-level, so you need a simple stereo line-modular input in your rack.
Cause if it would be eurorack level you would distort and clip into every normal pedal or whatsoever.
I want one along with a Jellymix to replace my older mixers in my other studio rooms.
If using effects in eurorack, then line-level signals are totally fine (with plenty of headroom) going in and coming back out, without any level adjustment. Think of it like this: line-level signal goes in and gets processed, therefore a line-level signal comes out. However, if you instead were using the original Xcelon eurorack mixer and wanted to use its FX sends/returns with line-level gear, there is a risk of clipping the external effects. It really depends on the source, and line-level is a bit lower, so itās safe going into eurorack and returning without issue.

Sorry for a potentially silly question - havenāt had my coffee yet. Does this mean that if I patch eurorack level to a SL channel, I should be careful using the aux sends to a pedal which expects line level? I was assuming that the SL would normalize the incoming level to line (based on the gain settings).
No, it will be fine because when taking a eurorack signal into a channel, you will first use the Gain control to attenuate the signal down to nominal level. The red LED atop each channel will help you do this. Itās not a peak indicator per se because there is more headroom above it, but rather a nominal peak reference so you can confidently balance the input levels between channels. Maybe I am saying the same thing as you, lol.

I do wish that this and the Jellymix had audio interfaces built into these devices like how Xone mixers have audio interface for easily recording and integration with laptops, ipad and DAW software.
