I found and joined bluesky, but not posting any musical content yet. I like it as a contrast to twitter … for one I don’t get unwanted post notifications from the Lone Skum.
I’m there, but just started using it so beyond following 2 people and setting some images it’s pretty vacant 
Plotting to start posting stuff soon tho, gotta work on my difficulty with sharing-personality

might be no good idea on the long run, that some billionaire is in charge of a virtual “global village space” to uphold free speech…but the basic need for such a space is out of question for me…
any counter/paralell spaces won’t do the hardly and desperatly needed trick…
we’re standing at the gates of the information age…no way around it…information and comunication is entering the next level of our common human history…so let’s debate, instead of splitting into even more micro and macro tribal behaviour and stay friendly and open, so the better argument may lead to all the next level solutions, we all need to find more common ground…
There’s a lot to unpack in that one. But a big one is voting with your feet/money, only support that which is worthy of it
No one talked about being on the right side of history, you are bringing and projecting your views into the discussion and then saying lets debate when no one asked for it. How about letting people share their profiles and connect if they want to without the pseudo-intellectual commentary.
Look. I’m a black man. I don’t want to share space with Nazis. I don’t want to patronize a platform run by someone sympathetic to them. I don’t think that they have any ideas worth debating. At the end of the day, I don’t think there’s any value in pretending for the sake of argument that my full humanity is up for debate.
Actually, my need is to be in a community that doesn’t impose any world view, in contrast to twitter where I get the owner’s views imposed on me via unwanted notifications (and other aspects of the twitter algorithm). That isn’t about free speech, it’s about promoting misinformation.
Exactly. I’m moving to BlueSky soon as well.
Thanks - that’s a good reminder to start moving stuff about Live & Indirect Sessions and Drift of Signifieds to Bluesky and away from other Meta-controlled social media (Twitter being long since abandoned…).
