I can concur that Softube Modular + Hearbeat is a really cool setup and sounds great too. VCVRack is no doubt awesome as well, but will be going premium as well for many modules soon. I have Reaktor (Blocks), Softube Modular and VCVRack which all together has saved me (so far) from going into any sort of Eurorack addiction, so I view anything I’ve spent on the software as nominal in comparison. They’re all pretty awesome, unique (both good/bad) and hours of fun.

For me the biggest appeal of Softube modular is that it allows one to ”window-shop” a real-life doepfer/intellijel modular system, and to plan a system ”virtually”, therefore aiding aplenty in getting into real modular (assuming one wants a real modular rig, cough cough)
