The Spice exists!

And they have them ( at least one ) around too. Hopefully they’re getting ready for an announcement.

If you have the set of four do you just put them next to each other on a table or do you put them in a rack ?

You need four. And likely more on the way soon. Producer Series.

Spice videos coming very soon …

I have to say, it actually exceeded my expectations. The pitch quantize function is a game-changer for me!

Oversynth makes a wide selection of overlays for the Crave and the Edge and no doubt for the Spice and Grind, soon enough.

Oversynth Edge overlays

I was not thrilled by the quality of the EDGE overlay. It was cardboard and the printing was blurry up close, I didn’t install

End jam in walkthrough video was cool, it’s like a hardware Fugue machine with analog synth attached.

Sounds better than the original. (Which is one of the rare synth that left my studio, traded it for a digitakt.)

was pretty interested in the subharmonicon, when it was hyped before it came out. once, it got released, I had other plans. and now this. hard to resist

but I will

Looking at it and at my Arturia MiniBrute 2S, it could be the right replacement (and for the price of 1 MiniBrute 2S and some change, I could get that Edge also maybe). The sequencer on the MB2S is something else to be honest but I have a DTII or a PT to do something out of it. I am more torn there then I trying to get a Rackbrute on top of the MB2S with a Plaits Clone and some filter and effects.

haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere but one of the cool things about the subharmonicon is that you can change its sequencer logic from OR to XOR

on the SH this is done by sending a midi message which i was kind of hoping would be an on-panel button or switch on the spice but it seems like it’s just not an option at all

the SH also has unique envelope generator functionality (for both the vca and vcf) in that the attack doesn’t restart when a trigger or gate is received- this will only happen once the attack phase is completed (this creates an almost lfo-adjacent modulation)

does the spice share this behavior?
