Behringer : 40% (up to) off across the range

Read this over on Sonic State.

Couldn’t see anything more.

Couldn’t see anywhere that lists the price drops.

Maybe this should be moved to the huge Beringher thread.

Christ!

Yeah Uli was on Gearslutz explaining this one a couple of months back. In the Deepmind’s case, they had recouped their R&D costs and along with the factory efficiencies decided to pass that on to the consumer. A DM12 for £620ish is stunning value for money.

Lol, I recently ordered 2 Pultec EQs for 199 € each (Klark Teknik EQP-KT). So will they be available for 120 € then?

Honestly I also am a bit pissed due to the instability of their prices. I bought a Deepmind 6 for ± 750 a year ago. Now the price is 50% lower so in case of a resell I would loose a lot of money.
I am okay with that as I do not intend to sell this thing but now I could have the Deepmind 12 for even less… =(

Limbo dancing prices :joy:

Best performing synth for investment I reckon are OP-1s.

Those (“up to”) 40% have already been applied (in GER/EU at least) from what I can tell.

those would be the 600-650€ Deepmind12’s and your 200€ KlarkTeknik PulTec Clones and your 300€ ModelD’s.

about all of those were roughly 20-40% more expensive less than a few months ago.

if you read the source material (via sonicstate, link in post#1) it cites Uli Behringer saying that this is already in effect, the way I understood it.

So I guess there is not another price dumping coming in the near future. Of course, I might be wrong, but I don´t think that´s very likely in this case… (and if I am, who`s gonna complain ^^ )

Neutron is going for around the £270 mark in U.K…
Worth it for the patchbay alone.

Then again, is that cheaper than normal I don’t know?

The boog is also 270 , a few returns/bstock are even cheaper , I’ve avoided buying them so far.

I guess that’s one way to take control over second hand sales.

Behringer gear already depreciates fast enough, but this is ridiculous!

Seen that, but no thanks…Deepminds is hard to mix, Boog and Neutron have Osc stability issues. You get what you pay.

You think? Wasn’t something I noticed myself once you dialled back the FX a bit

I’ve been too busy enjoying it to have noticed … I’m unaware of any reports on this fwiw

well, yep - a sweet well made unique synth at a really great price that just sounds and feels terrific (way better put together than a pricier MS20mini tbh, but I’m not hugely hopeful on the customer support front) - plus I am stuffed as my Mac OS and iOS versions are too old for their firmware & apps

for sure, it’s not hand-made boutique stuff that’s out of reach of the majority, but there’s a place for this kinda gear and those turning their noses up at it because of the badge are in danger of missing out … let’s not forget where this synth was developed !

it seems well regarded amongst those who’ve bought in, from all strata btw

worth it even if you sawed off the patchbay !

I’ve noticed the price drops in some TC Electronics stuff lately and this is clearly this policy in effect, big step changes in retail cost overnight … is that a get what you pay situation too ?!

that price won’t be subject to a major drop, the street price reflects their competitiveness already

A side effect of cloning over designing

The o ky two pieces of B kit I’m interested in, aren’t out yet - Bro-1 and the 909 clone.

I have seen the prices of the clones. Nothing that I fancy but the numbers are just unreal. I guess it is a good time to start with synths…

FWIW, has anyone ever created a website that tracks music gear prices over time?

Those of you who can afford Moog Ones grats, good for you. The rest of us have the option to buy cheap quality synths for very little money.

What’s wrong with that? How can people complain over this?

It’s all just Elitism ultimately.
