I think a more straight forward way to approach this would be to emulate some arrangement of the Behringer 2500 system with a VCV rack, or use the VCV modules in the 4ms MetaModule. ( post ) Given the size of the system done by Lnefpd, it may take two or more MetaModules and some experimentation to find suitable substitutions for the 2500 modules.
But even with multiple MetaModules this approach would most probably be less expensive, would fit in a portable system like a Cre8audio NiftyKEYZ ( with a keyboard attached ), and be able to change patches at the push of a button, as well as do very different Eurorack arrangements as well. It would lack the full out interactive controls though.
Pin Matrix Synth - Analogue Solution TC5000 - NEW
This looks like a ARP 2500 but it’s not. Based on different modules. But operation would be similar. More info from Analogue Solutions.
Fresh out today, Oct 5th, at Synthfest UK. Video from show. Very expensive.
Perhaps some sort of pin matrix could be used with the Behringer modules.
ADDED : Notice how this is a pin matrix and not pin sliders.
