AR sample/slot issue

I noticed a few workflow gremlins with samples and slots on the AR

Firstly a deleted sample still gets referenced in the sound/sample page

But more oddly, the sample directory will tag a sample as being attributed to a particular slot on more than one sample, this happens if the same sample is sent, even if the names and source file extension are different, i compared an aif and wav upload with differing names and both samples were tagged as being active in the same sound page slot number !

#ARbug
? < For tagging explanation see here

This has happened to me too.

Were you by any chance acessing the +drive directly (fun +yes in the sample selection)? It happens to me that if I’m applying samples this way quickly (to try things out with parameters applied) sample selection breaks down completely: can’t select, cant delete, can’t change anything in the ram directory itself, samples are misapplied and and other disasters. I have to actually restart the unit.

Yes indeed, that’s how i assigned the samples, sounds a bit niggly/buggy then, i’d wondered if it was because the sample content was identical that it referenced it as the same and got confused #ARbug

Good you’ve confirmed it. I’d been meaning to bit never got around to it.
Elektron? Howabout another bug to ignore?

Ugh. Their response to every other bug begs the question “why bother”. But i will.

if you do, best point them to the thread too in case others chip in with similar reports or more detailed step by step explanations on how to replicate
