Analog Rytm Transient Studies

With the transient parameter there are a lot of sound design options … making hihat sounds, snare sounds … and bassdrums

  1. track: bassdrum engine with lfo modulated transient parameter. Parameter Locks for fx sends.
  2. track: hihat engine with lfo modulated decay, overdrive and filter

reverb and delay fx from Rytm fx engine - modulated with performance macros

recorded 3 tracks via Overbridge into Ableton Live

Awesome stuff!!!

Love it ! :+1: :+1:

When you speak of modulating the transient parameter, which parameter on the synth page are you referring to ?

thank you guys!

@onoffon: I used the bass drum classic engine. There is parameter with values “c2” or "d3 or “e1”. That´s the transient parameter. You can modulate this with the lfo.

btw. here is part 2:

what is a transient`?

hm … simply described it is a short peak in the attack phase of a sound.
For (analog) bassdrums it is mostly the short click at the beginning.

You also can shape the envelope of a sound after recording with a transient shaper plug in

thanks insect

This is tasty.

And I’m stealing your idea.

Insect, your track just convinced me I’ve got to get an Analog RYTM… Sounds killer, thanks for posting it!

inspiring me to get on my ignored rytm

Really enjoyed this.
