Had it for quite a while now actually Used it off and on and also teach / taught a few students on it. Full course I’m not sure about as yet. I’m a bit doubtful enough people would be into that
Yes! It got the OT boot up light show treatment, it’s fabulous, haha.
whoa… SY CHIP is amazing. Fantastic
Page loop!
This goes against everything that Elektron stood for over the past 25 years.
the tuning behavior is subtle but makes a huge difference regarding low end separation and overall musicality within that system! that’s so nice though
I think you might be referring to a different bug? I posted a link to the forum post about it above.
Wow!
Waited a very long time for the update, kind of lost hope, and here it is…
I haven’t looked into the features yet, but sole number 1.70 promises a lot!
Same. Scale quantization will be lifechangingly useful on A4 - esp. if the scale quantization works on the MIDI outs…
OMG, praise be to Elektron
Congratulations to AR owners and thank you Elektron!
Well so much for those sub-$1100 USD RYTM’s people had listed.
This is all super exciting! I adore using the onboard machines and use sampling less, so this is the perfect update for me.
And thanks for confirming on the LFO piece. I am curious, would there possibly be processing room for a fixed destination LFO (like vibrato on the A4) for velocity? That’s probably my most common use case, and would open up the existing, more powerful LFO for more interesting things.
Rytm has always been great, and I know the update has the new car smell - but after messing with this for less than an hour, I think the rytm has come into its own w this one. openness and detailed natural sounds, hh lab letting you make sweeter, smoother or weirder hi freq sounds, and the flexibility of pwm on the cowbell for turning it more into standard synth sound design than trapped in the cowbell zone… then the ability to make fairly unique and complimentary synth sounds with the new chip engine – this thing is not the same imo, huge improvement to the synthesis side
Omg yessss
Please tell me that we can LFO eucledian parameters
is there pulsewidth modulation on the square?
Elektron does it again!
Happy update-day to all Rytm owners
Would love this eucledian sequencing for other devices
I’m hoping the random LFO slew comes to other boxes. I was just thinking last night when using my ST about how useful that would be for so many things, I’m excited for everybody who gets to use it on the AR.
I haven’t played that much with Euclidean sequencing, but combining that with p-locks and polyrhythms against other tracks could get wild in a really exciting way. Assuming it can be used in conjunction with the other sequencer features.
wow … calibrating my MkI 2:20:xx … exciting that this machine get’s love now for nearly 10 years
now the A4, right?
May the force () be with us - always!
YASSSS my prayers have been heard. As a C64 musician the SiD machine is a dream come true
