Am I the only one? [Machinedrum love]

Elektron is dead.
Thats a shame.

Ah cool. So not quite dead then. Still wriggling.

To be fair, they closed down their US office and repair center. They only repair in Sweden now :upside_down_face:

It’s cool. I showed the damage and the repair video to my old man (a retired electrical engineer) and he’s confident of a fix.

His old man was a radio and TV repair man; we have a history of fixing stuff and while I could have had a go at this, it’s smaller than I’ve repaired in the past.

In the mean time, it’s working fine and my Digitakt is eating up it’s loops!

Your old man is a legend for taking this on - I wish him the best of luck with it!

unofficial +drive now filled with old sysex, found the below pattern.
The break is from a 78rpm record (think 40s or 50s…) off the internet archive and is so damn nice! Can’t find the link but will keep looking. (I’ll try and offload it as an sds when my midi interface is setup)
Think it was cleaned and processed heavily before placing into a ROM slot. But has started a new quest to find the oldest funky break out there. Challenge emitted.

This is also really good! I’m sure it might be really complicated to explain how it was done. I guess I just have to dive and try to get stuff like this going on my MD. Cheers.

Its playing song mode with different patterns / kits and length for each lane.
While i shuffle between classic / extended mode.
When its on classic mode it’s freezes on the same kit, and all the parameter state for all the machines in that moment.
That way it loops the same song sequence,
But the trigs meets different locks and sounds each time.
