Oh no. That’s low. I hope you didn’t have to refund him out of your own money. So you don’t think he actually might have just gotten it repaired?
I actually checked the Lithuania one but I should have taken the poor image quality as a red flag.
With the Brazilian ones it’s the “FAIR PRICE” and “Everything is absolutely perfect” and sus wording
No I had to fill out a post office note and got my postage refunded so I assume he got a full refund and then upgraded it and tried to double his money!
Well, that’s good at least. I wouldn’t call that a scam on you per se but you definitely got disrespected by a con artist.
Yeah - never mind eh - karma and that
I’m still rocking x.04 too man although I’ve heard there’s a flanger in the later updates which sounds great in a posh English accent
Even if they never see something like that happening to them, it’s not going to be a great life filled with friends and successes.
Just bought a great-looking mk2 from a private American seller (and an actual musician) who offered me a flash deal. Said it’s thoroughly tested. If this one also turns out to be a bust I think I’m gonna give up on getting a MD for a while.
Good luck dude
What sort of jams are you making with that set up?
Just my typical silly stuff.
I do have a small complaint because I am a keys guy and appreciate polyphony so I think the more ideal combo for me might have been the Digitone and MD2+UW … but I have some options and this time I’m gonna build slow and aim to release more “experiments” more often
For now actually the combo is Digitakt+Machinedrum since I’ve been sampling the M:C anyway and this gives me flexibility and ergonomics… I’m looking at DT kind of like a hobbled Ableton with no need for an interface…
Yeah that’s how I see DT too, OT is too complex for me but DT is just right. Must be hard being a keys player and having to make do, but then the limiting factors often spur one on to greater creativity than having all options on the table - i for one would love to be able to play the machinedrum like a polyphonic synth but didn’t get on with the midi box thing and am just sticking to using the numbers and my ears to make chords
Didn‘t you own a MD already before
?
one thing about the MD that i love is that whatever pattern and parameter settings were in memory at shut down, on power up, the machine reloads in the exact same place.
i don’t know if digis and models have this, but as the heat+ doesn’t maybe it’s becoming a legacy only feature… hope not!
The digis do! I don’t remember if the M:C did. I always save my patterns anyway just in case but it’s a pretty fantastic feature if I forget.
The model cycles works like that as long as you power it down appropriately, i.e. holding the power button. If you just unplug it it will revert back to the last saved state.
glad to hear this, it is something i sometimes take for granted too, but is a great feeling after some days away to jump back in at some wonked settings you have no memory of.
I guess he broke my rule #2 (“Never sell your machinedrum”)
(Rule #1 is “Don’t bring broken tape machines into your home”)
!!!
Any more rules?
(Don‘t buy refurbished Revox Tapedecks - which are obviously NOT refurbished😬).
