I don’t know why people are so offended by a naked woman? especially a drawn one. This video was an experiment and as a mood-setter. But since admiration of femininity has become a problem these days, then okay. That means it has no place here.
Easy there, bud…maybe I and many others personally don’t think your video should have been flagged…but I can’t quite connect with your claim that it was flagged because people are simply “offended by femininity”. I think that doesn’t come across as a strong argument.
Even though this community spans many cultures and value sets, I’m pretty confident we don’t all primarily come from cultures in which female bodies are bare in public and the workplace. One has a responsibility to read the room more when playing that line between the aesthetic and the erotic. This isn’t a static marble statue of Artemis on the hunt, its a girl in a bed in an erotic context–your inclusion of the terms deviant and polyamory in your presentation further hints that there IS an intentional sexual nature to it–it is not merely “the beauty of the human female”.
As much as Michaelangelo may have personally thought it would reflect his “admiration of masculinity” to sculpt David with a yummy throbbing bon*r, he also knew that once an artist crosses the line into presenting subjects as involved in a sexual state, that artist can no longer really make the argument that it’s just “human beauty”…

“So by your logic, I should file a complaint every time I see a clip with some transsexual or transvestite? Sophi must be turning over in her grave right now.”
Well, I would not talk about people but only about some individuals that are bound in their self created mindset dungeons. Fore sure they would burn you on a pyre if they lived in the middle ages.

seems to be a more liberal place.
Hi Jalex, I’m not sure if that was a response to me or not…
curious about the reason it was flagged, what did the message say?
as for the clip itself, dunno, it doesn’t feel “drawn”, personally I find it really creepy, like I don’t mind weird drawing styles but that ain’t it, like something seems very off in every detail… it feels very “generated” rather personal artistic expression, if that makes sense.
but that’s my personal opinion, no intention to offend or anything, just an opinion, apologies if it offends you.
It’s quite possible. But I think I’ve made my position quite clear.
This is stable defusion. I love generative art and how it can be used to create amazing things.
here is an incredible video that brilliantly emphasizes the musical composition. I fucking love it and I’m even jealous. It forces me to look for new forms
This is an interesting discussion. I’ve got not any sort of Master of Art degree but I think this article fits:
IMHO we as humans can and should not separate sexuality from nude in the art just because we are no machines.
I’m not bothered by the nudity. I just think it would be better if placed as the film reaches its climax. IMO the story only goes downhill if you give up the gut right away.
I was with you before, but the straw man you just drew kind of invites argument.
@Jalex Nudity isn’t a problem for many people, but if someone in a more puritanical part of the world is checking Elektronauts on lunch break at work, thumbnails with nudity of the screen can cause problems for them. An “NSFW” flag and/or trigger warning for the more sensitive and using the “hide details” functionality that discourse offers for these types of images is helpful to the community.
I was being civil in my ask, but you are clearly stepping outside of the forum’s guidelines.
Always Be Civil
Nothing sabotages a healthy conversation like rudeness:
- Be civil. Don’t post anything that a reasonable person would consider offensive, abusive, or hate speech.
- Keep it clean. Don’t post anything obscene or sexually explicit.
- Respect each other. Don’t harass or grief anyone, impersonate people, or expose their private information.
- Respect our forum. Don’t post spam or otherwise vandalize the forum.
These are not concrete terms with precise definitions — avoid even the appearance of any of these things. If you’re unsure, ask yourself how you would feel if your post was featured on the front page of the New York Times.

please give me a quote where I was rude or insulted you?
I never said you were either of those things to me personally. I just wanted to clarify that my own ask of you was reasonable within the guidelines defined for participating in this community, as outlined in the copy/paste from the guidelines I shared above.
waste of time.
it’s displaying women as disposable objects. nude or not.
This is your position but not mine.
But it’s your responsibility as the ‘artist’ / ‘author’
if you can’t defend or own a contentious and problematic presentation then you should think twice about submitting it for scrutiny or review
personally i find it an unsatisfactory reason - to suggest it’s an “admiration of femininity” … what kind of femininity, a falsehood, seems more like a denigration of femininity to my tastes and i am no prude whatsoever -this isn’t about prudishness or puritanical people or whatever - it’s about having a better societal view of women - i find the rendering tacky at best, it wouldn’t fly as art in my society - it’s a critique of a poor judgement in my opinion, that’s why it was flagged and accepted
it’s essentially easy to perceive it as gratuitous in the presented and offered context, it doesn’t appear to be robust enough to withstand scrutiny - if it were commentary on how fake and phoney AI art is at representing ‘real’ women and it was a critique of that as opposed to a celebration of all that is obviously wrong about that then maybe it would have been less clearcut an error of judgement
i personally find the ‘work’ objectionable because it belies uncomfortable truths about how ridiculously badly (male) idealised feminine forms are
i am sure there is art that can be generated in this way, but i suspect it would need more rigour and awareness than is evident or offered
it should be obvious now why it’s deemed inappropriate … it’s imho a tacky and frankly lazy use of a tool, somehow made more disagreeable by being made algorithmically - it makes the context reek of a latent mysoginy within the process itself - using it should be done with more forethought imho
just offering a different view to reflect on (or not)
i haven’t looked at the thread, i have zero interest, i responded to some flags - kept my silence until the debate got a bit silly and more flags popped up - nothing convinces me you are owning your authorship in a way that doesn’t just make it clear you don’t want to understand that casually throwing out nude renderings on a musical forum will subject you to scrutiny - it still seems gratuitous because you haven’t reflected on what has been put to you, you are doubling down on a stance which is not justifiable - we are all grown ups here, but there is a bigger picture and i think the flagging of your post was reasonable
it’s no critique of any other post (not least of which because i haven’t seen any, so haven’t considered whether the context is nuanced (if contentious) - it’s no surprise that the agorithm shows what we got - it points to something troubling imho - therefore when playing with controversial ideas you have to be more self aware of a bigger picture, beyond your own view
