Yeah that’s what I’m trying to do.
You said “over”
That to me means a delta on filter.
The method you’re trying is supposed to create a single new value across your selection. Are you not seeing a new value? Try copying the clip and comparing two values your filter. Then otherwise, yes, this sounds like a bug on the settings page
The knowledge base article about USB-C sampling makes it pretty clear that Move acts as an audio interface for devices that act as USB hosts, so not mics (or lightning cables).
I can confirm USB-C sampling works with the MPC Live (setting Move as the output audio interface)
You can’t do that method of hold multiple bars and adjusting a value on filter page at all.
It shows the loop length and jumps to main bank and doesn’t stay on filter page.
So only things that have usb-c on both ends? Not a periphery (barn shaped usb) ?
Good to know. Definitely report it!
Can you do it the chincy way and record 4 bars of the value you want with your hand on the capacitive encoders? Actually select the playback loop of the 4 bars if you want a clean punch/in out. Damn, I bet you’d need to record the full clip, however long it actually is, or it’s just going to stay at the last value
Or as it is more commonly known - USB B.
Yeah. B for barn
How about a wireless receiver, like the rode wireless go ii? That could be fun. Or another interface, like a sound devices mixpre 3ii? (Less likely user case)
Updated woohoo. I was close on the date. I said it would probably be Feb 12th lol.
My favorite things on this one is
- Sampling Audio via USB-C
- Solo Tracks
- Scrolling Feature
It’s already 7am eastern; you’re late to the party, @Brockstar
On that note, if you’ll please excuse me… I’m going to crash and tend to the ol no no norovirus
Don’t you know being late is fashionable?
Samples completely stopping when you hit stop is a big one too🤙
Ableton Note for the subway and Move for Central Park.
yea im not really chilling in central park all that much but maybe more like grover cleveland or tompkins.
Adding polyphonic aftertouch over MIDI Out is good. Hopefully that means better MIDI implementation is coming (I/O per track, MIDI channel per track). Harder to use expressive playing features effectively when we can’t select MIDI channels per track, etc.
You need to take into account the weight of the machine and its shape. Using it on my lap sitting on a folding chair wasn’t the best for me, so I know I’ll have to put the Move on top of my backpack on the subway. The shape of a bench in a park would be fine.
cool sounds good I found it used mint condition should ship soon I hope. planning a road trip to pittsburgh so will be with me then too in the minivan haha. I work a weird job in the winter sub teaching and we have 3 mandatory 45 minute breaks in a 6.5 hour shift and so the move will be nice in an empty classroom to make stuff then take it home to work on it more if inspired.
Hey guys, when I use Move as an usb audio interface with my (windows 10) pc, it outputs a very very weak signal unless I crank the master volume to the max and blast my ears off. What am I doing wrong?
Also, how do I setup my Move as an audio interface in Ableton ? Should I choose Asio as the driver ? I thought a specific driver was installed along Live Intro 12.1…
Beginner question, I know, but it’s my first audio interface in a looooooong ass time.
Check the user manual (link leads to chapter about using it as audio interface):
