You can run it unauthorised for now (no save) and at least get it set up!
Some people have said they have authorised- seemed to be taking a while for me so just clicked outā€¦

anyone knows whatā€™s the authorized addon? I authorized twice by mistake because the Beta was open and got redirected there, but not sure if thatā€™s the reasonā€¦

I just got 12 installed on OS X and so far, so good. Authorization worked quickly and went fine.

I can confirm that the tags I created within Beta 12 for myself in ā€œDevicesā€ are still there and the links to all of my plugins seem in-tact, so that work wasnā€™t in vein, which is nice. I kept my expectations low.

Also, someone on Reddit was kind enough to explain how to find and edit the file that holds the ā€œDeviceā€ category names.

The path in OS X is now:
Username/Music/Ableton/User Library/Ableton folder info

  • File name = UserKeywords.txt
  • Itā€™s a simple text file with the names of new tags youā€™ve added to the existing default tags.

These are the new Devices Categories Iā€™ve made and you can see the proper syntax for nesting folders:

Unfortunately push SA only compatible 2 weeks later. So I still have to wait :(. Was really looking forward to playing around this week but first world problems and all that :wink:

Yeah there is, but Iā€™m not really comfortable using that (maybe unjustifiably so). Rather wait for the official release.

I didnā€™t spent so much time with Push but the beta of SA12 didnā€™t seem buggier than L11 !

Got it! Downloaded, installed, authorized and up and running.

Going to work with it a bit, then nuke my installs of 11 and 12b. I have high confidence itā€™s going to be fine since the beta has been very solid for me.
