In short, my old M1 (standard) was doing pretty good before I went in for the Pro (some for music reasons, some not.) If using only Ableton devices or hardware, it was still pretty good though I could push it very hard if using lots of VSTs etc. While I wouldn’t encourage spending cash for no reason, the M4 update was a meaningful upgrade on the M1 and is worthy of a consideration.

Yeah, it’s pretty subtle. But yeah, I’m interested to see if this is as far as it goes or if Ableton wants to bring other plugins into Live as Max devices. (No ilok too.)
