I was hoping as well but there are not many updates for Push with Ableton 11 so I assume it wouldn’t happen.

Hi,
I am mixing hard and software and use both simultaneous and it works perfectly. My setup and workflow looks like this : Ableton 10/11 is master and syncs everything (Rytm, Erica Black sequencer, Avalon bassline) via audio with E-RM Multiclock. My prophet 6 and and 101 I sequence with Ableton and Midi. In the record phase I have a very small buffer with 64 samples. I use a MacBook Pro 16 with i9 and a Presonus Quantum (16ins with adat expansion). My showed RTL is 3,2 ms. So I dont experience any noticeable latency. I try to use mostly the internal effects of Ableton or check how much latency third party introduced. if its only 1ms (like some Soundtoys) I can live with it. At the mixing stage it can happen that more latency hungry plugins are used, but than everything is already recorded and on the grid. Pretty happy with that setup. No adjustments are needed.

The prerelease discount was already active when black friday happened, and it was the same discount.

quick question: are you sequencing the Rytm with Ableton or just using Ableton to send clock/start/stop messages?
if you’re sequencing the Rytm with Ableton, i’m curious if you’re using Overbridge or other means

I sequence my RYTM with Ableton. I send it clock, start, stop, and MIDI. Each drum pattern has its own track set to the appropriate channel. I don’t use Overbridge at all.

I have a very similar setup with PC - E-RM, sequencer and synths. My latency at 64 is 2.75 so also pretty much the same.

I agree with your process - use the cpu hungry stuff during mixdown. The ableton plugs and solid stuff like soundtoys that report properly seem to be fine.

My license JUST went live… now to finish the work day :unamused:

Tuesday!!!

Wish Ableton would keep the beta icon for the release version. Was really growing fond of that shade of purple on the splash screen. Much more fun than the almost-black of the release suite…
