Shortcut for easier entry of long Digitone/Digitakt pattern chains

This esoteric trick is an extension of the previously-known trick for entering in first pattern repeats (Digitakt Pattern Chain mode) In short, it’s possible to abuse that feature to simply enter the entire chain.

The goal is to make entry of long patterns easier by allowing the entire pattern to be just “tapped in” without needing to do the awkward alternating-key thing, and also in a way that is easy to commit to muscle memory:

  1. Hold down [PTN] with your left pinky
  2. Hold down [16] with your right pinky
  3. Briefly release/repress the [PTN] key
  4. While the [PTN] and [16] remain down, just enter your whole sequence via normal tapping.

In the rare instance that you are using pattern 16 in a pattern chain, simply switch to another unused key. Likely, I’m not the first to figure this shortcut out, but I haven’t seen it posted on the forums yet and this technique saves me a ton of time.
