I’ve been developing a mobile groovebox called zpunk (zed punk), inspired by pocket operators and classic step sequencers.
The focus is on fast idea creation — programming drum patterns, generating chords and melodies, chopping samples, and chaining patterns into longer arrangements directly on mobile.
The latest update adds MIDI export, allowing drum, chord, and melody patterns to be exported and loaded into DAWs like Ableton.
On iOS, MIDI files are saved into the zpunk project folder inside the Files app. Android also supports MIDI export, and there’s an APK available on itch.
