Zoom LiveTrak L6

This looks interesting. Maybe not $299 interesting though. It doesn’t seem to be up on Zoom’s site yet.

32-bit float compatible,

Ultra-compact LiveTrak

“LiveTrak L6” is the world’s first* digital mixer equipped with dual AD circuit and 32-bit float recording technology. You can enter 10 channels of audio signals and record up to 12 tracks (10 tracks + master L/R) simultaneously on a microSD card (sold separately). The XLR/TRS phone input is equipped with a dual AD circuit that achieves a vast dynamic range and a high S/N ratio, and realizes clear audio input without distortion without gain adjustment, from small to loud. The final stage has a built-in master comp that prevents overleveling and gains sound pressure, avoiding the occurrence of harsh distortion at any stage of input, mixing, recording, and output.

With a compact body with a width of 23 cm and a depth of 11 cm that can be easily installed with other equipment, you can make effective use of the limited space on the desktop. In addition, the battery-powered design that runs with 4 AA batteries or a USB mobile power supply allows you to mix multiple synthesizers on the live stage, record podcasts on the go, and easily carry them anywhere. I can do it. Equipped with a MIDI IN/OUT terminal of a 3.5mm TRS phone that can be linked with external MIDI devices, it is ideal as a machine live mixer that synchronizes multiple synthesizers without using a personal computer.

In addition, it is equipped with a USB audio interface function that supports 12 in/4 out, 32-bit float, and can also be used as a mixer for recording on Windows/Mac/iOS devices and live streaming.

Portable and powerful. A 32-bit float-compatible mixer & recorder “LiveTrak L6” with a 10-channel specification that can be carried anywhere and does not cause distortion is now available.

1010 Bluebox competitor!

It’s formatted like a lot of those competitor’s boxes aimed at streamers and podcasters. Good feature set. Good connectivity. Nice that they gave it the option to be battery powered. Too bad that it’s so difficult to tell how well something like this will function in practical situations without hands on or a proper review.

To me, the form factor looks more like a Roland Aira than a Zoom product, somehow. Interesting stuff!

Oooh, that looks pretty nice, against what probably everyone else thinks though I’d prefer all the inputs to be minijack on a compact device like this, as I’d be usung it with mostly minijack gear, and adapters are a ball ache.

I’ll wait and see how the midi sync is and peruse the feature set/manual before deciding if to get one, price seems fair to me.

This is the first product of its type that seems designed for the synth crowd.
-stereo paired inputs!
-midi
-compact

A lot of people on here should be happy about it I think.

Yep. I was just whining that there is no Aira Compact Mixer haha.

I’ll have to give this one a good long look…

Looks nice!

Site has a eurorack adapter listed as an accessory. Interesting.

After reading through the specs, this one ticks a lot of boxes. Just seems like a nice, portable box to record jams with some synths and samplers. I think the price is decent too.

Just noticed it will run on 4 AA batteries. This might be for me. Audio interface also. $299 seems about right.

I don’t reeeealy need this. But GASing hard. The fact that you can record the sound buttons live and they can loop could have interesting live performance applications, depending on the max time the sample can have.

Otherwise, everything seems useful, mixing, recording, serves as an audio interface, has an eq and compressor, etc etc…

Wow, I just got the TX-6 to record my band’s jams, but after seeing this, I’m probably returning it. It seems to tick most of the TX-6’s boxes (and more) except for looking cool and being ultra-small

This looks fantastic!

I’ve wanted zoom to make something like this for a while (a bunch of stereo inputs, midi clock, reasonably priced). I love my H6, but this seems like it solves a lot of my problems using that as a mixer for multitrack music production.

I have a good sized mixer that I dont use much anymore with only my DT2 and modular outputs…this would free up space for sure and also to record into…perfect.
