It was a mission and a half getting past the initial learning curve. More than once I had to toss a botched board and start again from scratch with it, but I’m glad I persisted. I feel pretty confident about hand-soldering 0402 parts and fine-pitch ICs now. It’s just super tedious, so I try to get PCBA done at the factory wherever possible now.

As cluttered and untidy as my brain.

My current setup is a bit cramped. hoping to move nto a new apartment eventually if anything ever works out but most of my gear boxed and not much room to produce anything much for now… bad vibes all round… wtf?.. Hope it changes soon… coukd be worse, I suppose but not a happy rabbit tbh…

Living room setup. Was experimenting with using the A4’s individual voice outs into the OT’s inputs.

Really fun! But it takes so much configuration and cables to set up even with just these two boxes, damn

Train travel setup for today. Sponsored by Ripchord :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:. Forgot how much fun DN is for drums. Voice stealing can lead to interesting results but also be frustrating.

sounds awesome, looks fun. What takes so much time about the set up, deciding what to do? I’d imagine once you’ve got a little template made you can start flying through patterns

That camouflage korg X50 is something else. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in the wild before!

Good eye for identifying it!

The light action of the x50 has been important to me, especially at the time I first started using it. It’s my main controller and piano. I got the camo because it was on sale new at a big retailer, probably blowing them out. I’ve always wondered if the camo was actually intended for some military field band use (since the x50 is very light). More likely Korg just did a fashion experiment that failed in the marketplace.

I like how it looks, but that seems to be a minority opinion.
