Your Setups (Part 1)

Interesting, I thought the Push looked odd and a bit uncomfortable with its quite different form factor.

I’ve seen that sentiment a few times. Honestly I don’t get it - it’s surprisingly tactile and easy to use. It’s bulky but it doesn’t really feel as awkward as it looks.

It’s not a qualified impression on my side, it just looks oddly shaped next to most boxes and synths which have different proportions. Glad you’re enjoying yours. The small SH101 clone looks ridiculously tiny next to it btw.

simplified. sold my Tascam 424 and switched over to a 414. been having a lot of fun recording a sequenced Rev2 into the 414, pitched down, and adding Machinedrum sin waves for a bit of rhythm.

Minor changes. A small modular is forming again

The Grandmother is sooo coool. I may be selling some overflow from my spaceship to grab one. Funny, your modular is ā€œsmallā€ after seeing all the pics you post

All my building time has been going into modules that I owe people for a while. I took a few too many clients on, and then all hell broke loose over the last year or so with family obligations and workload at my day job. So I’ve just been trying to get them all out to people. When I grab a spare couple of hours here or there I’ve built a couple of things for me. Luckily I’m mostly through the backlog now. By the end of next month I’ll be out from under it.

I for one, welcome my (probably) 30th new overlord.

It’ll probably be double that size sometime in September.

Both sides of my tiny ship. My friend built a new table on the other side of the room for my modular and I couldn’t hear all the frequency’s from behind me, so I grabbed a set of 5" monitors as fills. Using Bitwig to modulate movement in the quad field is fun.

looks dope but it also looks like your head would go through the roof if you stood up suddenly, optical illusion?

I’m guessing that’s a standing setup.

Yep, stand-up. It’s a little travel trailer, so I do only have 3 or 4 inches above my head. Haven’t hit it yet. Pretty perfect really. Sounds amazing. very little place for the sound to bounce. Like having a studio in a vocal booth :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That’s funktastic. Great idea too, travel trailer studio set up. Probably easier to isolate both recordings and control where noise is headed. Very warm during the summer months I’d wager though, however you’re in a pretty good area for year round climate control so it’s not as bad I’d think. We still get those dog days here in the valley.

I’m located under 3 trees. One willow that I need to cut back annually. I’m still using my heater at night right now. It gets warm in Sept/Oct. Even then, I live in the shade. But, yeah…It’s near a highway that goes directly to the ocean. The cold ocean breeze. Other neighborhoods are warmer.

Sounds fucking awesome to be perfectly honest, I couldn’t think of something better. How old is the willow tree? One of those huge ones?

I like it a little colder if I had to choose. You can always put on more clothes.

Haha. Yeah, I just complain a lot about how it’s cold and windy. Willows grow really fast. Possibly 20 years. It is awesome. I am super blessed.
