Mario Golf? Just started playing.
We’re playing the golf game in the main Switch Sports suite (not sure if it has a more specific name than that), though I think my buddy has Mario Golf as well so we should give that a try.
We only just recently started playing in Global mode where you compete against other users online and try to improve your rank — it’s wonderfully addicting.
So @Scot_Solida sent me back a MPX-1 (that I had previously given him, and needed a bit of repair) and along with it an absolute treasure trove of CD’s, 7” and 12” vinyl, and three full-on box sets… most of it super obscure stuff (even to me!)
Awesome.
That Babyland vinyl … chef’s kiss
I’ve been slowly adding more and more acoustic treatment to my room. I’ve been transforming a basement room into my more permanent studio over the last three months. I can’t wait to show it off when I’m finally finished. Just hanging these acoustic panels I made took an entire day with a laser level, ruler, markers and ladder. Still need to assemble about 6-8 more panels for the walls and then it’s off to the races
YEEEEOOOOO. Thats a friend right there!
Oh that? Thats just a dogskin rug.
That stand sucks if you have to raise up to touch it for any reason. Its nice and stable, even on a folding dinner table, but the experience of trying to type and move on the track pad (which I kinda have to do to make sounds, let alone music), with out having your elbows supported SUX.
About the dog, the airconditioning is aimed to hit the corner, and I have a fan bringing it into the bedromm… so she’s right were she wants to be… chillin (puns!).
As for her agreeing with me or not, she is ride or die! She will be on board no matter what we got going on.
Current set up after some rearranging in the office /studio
All audio is routed to the OT which is also controlling everything via midi. I also mainly use the OT as my writing tool instead of a performance/ FX mixer so everything gets sampled into a flex track for manipulation, slicing and sequencing sometimes I’ll run a thru track for my A4 or Hydrasynth but not often. My other samplers (digitakt, sp404mk2 and Polyend Tracker)are hanging out along with my MS20 waiting to get tagged in at some point lol.
These days I’m running Reaper for audio tracks, mainly for mastering purposes. Most of the mixing is happening in the boxes. I keep myself limited to the hardware for creative reasons, which forces me to get the best mix possible without reverting to my PC.
I’m using Renoise for all computer based music making. I fell in love with trackers, even sold Ableton Live cause I never write in a regular DAW now granted I still own licenses for Cubase and FL Studio.
You can see some of my music on: https://youtube.com/@MannyRodriguezMusicStuff
Just started so my channel is the early stages still lol.
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
New monitors are here, Focal Alpha 65’s (the previous model, these were factory refurbed.) Even with only 6.5” drivers the cabinets are pretty huge, and get down to 40hz.
You guys are living the buddy film I’ve always wanted to see.
Is the X on the floor a cue spot, or buried treasure?
I bet it’s monitor set up. Or the laser leveler.
Or John Wick.
That AR MKI with wood cheeks is beautiful! I’m still mad at myself for selling mine!
any reason you went with the older ones and not the evo? I’m probably going to get pair of 65 as well soon and I also have the option to get the original ones for ~$100 (for the pair) less but I lean towards the evos
Noisia came up with the name cause they saw a vision vhs tape sitting upsidedown and thought it was a good name.
Well number one was price- just over $400 shipped- and the original Alphas have class AB amplifiers. Plus they look cooler IMO.
I saw Indiana Jones, he said X never marks the spot.
It’s the sweet spot, so when things get moved around I know where to sit. There’s Xs under the monitors too in case I have to move them.
wow that’s cheap! totally would go for the old ones for that price as well.
didn’t think of this as an advantage, I thought that the D power efficiency is actually better…
in my case the price is not that low so I will probably go for the evos…
Mario Golf is amazing! It’s always been a favorite. My brother and love to get a few rounds in after a cocktail or two.
Now my daughters play it with me.
I’m not golf fan either by any means. Just love video game golf for some reason. It’s relaxing, and can get quite funny when playing friends after a drink or three.
Same! Not a fan of golf, but I loved playing NES Open as a kid (Uncle had an NES we could play during Christmas). So took a chance with this one and it’s fun.
