Your Setups (Part 1)

I don’t know since I don’t have a hapax controller to confirm this,. but I think the MRCC has a decent of din outs a/b midi and USB ports and virtual outs too if you use a computer. so if the hapax has way to to increase more sequence channel capacities with MRCC maybe.

I’ll do some digging to find out if that’s possible.

please do you can go on conductive labs forum. they can help you out to answers your questions based on the hapax

Should definitely be possible with the MRCC. I’m using an iConnectivity mioXL to accomplish the same thing.

My synths are not vintage. But my phone’s camera is, very much…
(In all the blur, can you spot my sweet Gecho Synth, though?)

That’s not a bad idea at all, nice :black_heart::black_heart: it’s cheap too.

I’ve been using a wallpaper brush but the dust gets glued to the gear sometimes, especially if not getting into the studio aa much.

Nice share, thx.

alrighty, 2023 setup that hopefully will yield some finished tracks

Hapax has 4 midi outs (1 via the jack to midi adaptor).
You could just use 1 midi DIN out from Hapax to MRCC, and that signal can be sent to as many devices as you can connect to the MRCC. The iConnectivity devices and any other midi routing hardware will work in the same way. This isn’t limited to DIN, as you can utilise the USB and Ethernet based connectivity as well.

I use 1 DIN cable to an iConnectivity mioXL and have control over 12 devices via DIN + quite a few USB midi devices.

You can be quite elaborate with midi connectivity - just make sure you have your midi channels set correctly between the devices, and you’re good to go.

even though it says “polyphonic” I highly doubt that was the way it was envisioned by Verbos. It’s just four inter related enveloppes with triggers that cascade into each other in different ways, and you can skew the attack/hold/decay as well as play with the amplitude. This allows to free yourself from the grid, and find cool shuffles or rhythms. It’s a great enveloppe. Also makes a superb modulator. I need more time with it still !

thanks I will check it out. For now, having the 3 direct MIDI out is fantastic as I can sequence my Virus TI2, Moog Sub 37 and Oberheim OB X-8 and also sequence my modular drums for same killer beat production and dump to Zoom Livetrak L-12 recorder. Plus now have room for jam sessions if folks come over to my studio they can jack in and we can record their sessions as well. Moog Sub 37 does amazing bass, Oberheim for brass/strings/organ stuff and Virus for trance pads/aggro pads. Now it is less clutter and easier access to be more productive. I had not used my Moog or Microkorg in a long time so good to integrate these two synths with the new gear and modular. I did unfortunately have a missing arm and broken arm on the new Jasper stand that arrived from Thomann so have to ask them to send me a new arm. The stand is rock solid. Definitely need to buy a few more of these Jasper stands in the future. Perfect way to save space and tidy the studio equipment up fast and light to move as well. Sucks that not one USA company carries the Jasper stand brand! That stinks having to order from Europe.

Great, that’s good info - thanks for sharing

Hey there! For me it’s a very different beast than the Multi Envelope that I had a sold (to @tumulishroomaroom actualy hahaha).
Like Lucas said it’s more a little modulation environment, it’s “more modular” hahaha. Also the voltage controled hold stage is not something you find a lot actualy.

I made a proper demo of it if you’re curious:

Been thinking of running something acoustic thru the OT for years like I do with records but never got to it until tonight. It got weird.

I really don’t need an SP-16 but I find myself really wanting an SP-16.

That’s really funny. I was just thinking the same thing :joy:

How do you find the Pioneer sampler? How is the time stretching and general workflow?

I never use timestretching, but it seems to be fine within +/- 5 bpm. Workflow is very fast within its limitations. I use it because I love the sound and the straightforward UI.

If you search for the SP-16 thread on here there’s A TON of useful info.

Thanks, I’m looking through the thread right now. I can see the midi implementation is nice and straightforward - would probably work really well with Hapax. Cheers

does it need to have EQ and routing? I’m super happy with my Speck X.Sum for this purpose. 16 stereo channels in a single rack space with plenty of headroom is pretty amazing. but I don’t worry about EQ until I’m tracking, and all my synths hit a patch bay first so I just patch in effects directly as needed.
