The monitors are Barefoot

Thanks all!

@twam They are the barefoot footprint 02s. I tried a lot of different monitors in the same approximate price range and these were my favorites. Maybe they are not the flattest, but they sound great and detailed, are easy to listen to, and are built like a tank. The OB-6 I regret not getting it earlier. In demo’s I wasn’t completely sold on the sound, but I wanted something with a very analog and vintage vibe and when I actually got it into my studio it sounds amazing.

@infiniteposse The stand is the Jaspers 150-6B. The monitor stands are the ones from output. My floor is also uneven towards the wall so I have some shims on the two back feet of each stand to level them out. I have the two patchbays connected to every in/out on the mixer and to all my synths/effects, I also just planned it out on a spreadsheet and have the things I use the most normalled to the mixer inputs/outputs. Not so pretty in the back though, it was a lot of soldering lol:

@CL516_CALVIN Thanks! I had an old dilapidated outbuilding (no windows or doors, only half a roof, holes in the floor and rotted joists, no electricity, etc.) on the property and decided to fix it up a few years ago. Here it was when I started working on it :open_mouth: :

These are all soldered? Wow, this is some serious commitment and planning.

think @HBIII means the cables were hand-soldered to their respective plugs. you can solder cables directly to a patchbay, but not with those Samson patchbays. still a sh*tload of work though, hand-soldering all of those!

Yeah cables are hand soldered and then plugged into patch bays

Welcome! Arguably the best Elektron to kick off with, I’m sure you’ll enjoy!

PS interesting rack

Space constraints!

After quickly outgrowing 2 Pods (that are still in use) I couldn’t find any rack cases that made sense for my space. That’s when I decided to add a couple custom cut rails at 94hp each.

The plan is to eventually replace one opening on the desk with the Behringer 2-XM and keep the center one more for utility/interfacing with eurorack. That’ll send me back on the hunt for a proper case.

So although I just said

The deal on the DFAM never happened, so I got the Pro 3 out of the box (it was up for sale). It fits! It’s not as in your face as having the matriarch on top of the Prophet. And it screams like nothing else I have. I need to box stuff up more often! So nice to get it out and really enjoy it

Oh hell that’s one really sick setup

Well, I blew the money I was saving for a compressor on an Isla s2400 that is going to go on my desk where my OB-6 was. Now I have absolutely no idea where to put the OB-6… spent 30min in my studio staring at my setup to no avail… If anyone has any ideas that would be great lol.

My live setup. Top part of case has a place for Korg Kaosspad + two Strymon pedals. Initially it was designed for AR mk2 + A4 mk2, but I decided to replace AR with OT.

my first suggestion would be a DJ laptop style stand that rests underneath the Subsequent 37 and places the OB6 above it. then use the S37 to play the OB6 (you may need a midi merger, depending upon how midi is routed). this does cut you from five octaves to three though… is there space to do the same above your Super 6?

The super 6 is on a K&M omega stand and there is a second tier available for it… but it costs like $200 and I would also need 30ft of audio and 30ft of midi cable to get it routed to the patch bay (and I like to keep cables as short as possible). But it is looking like that is the way I may have to go…

Bloody hell! That’s my dream setup right there.

Well, FML it is expensive to re-arrange your setup. I ended up getting the second tier for the omega stand (it was one of the only options, but jeeze $200 was a hard pill to swallow). Then I had to get 75ft of new cable and connectors ($100), and since I was out of midi ports I had to add an additional kenton thru 5 ($80) and merge 5 ($100). I think I am going to have to join the NGNY23-25 now :grimacing:

not sure exactly how you’re using them but you could possibly pick up a Blokas Midihub for less. there’s a used one in the For Sale section. I’m currently using one both as a merge and thru. they’re a great midi Swiss Army Knife to have in the studio as your needs change.

I always like posting in here again after I clean my desk.
It also lets me go back in time and see what’s changed.

Unfortunately I don’t have a suitable table where I could place all my gear, so I had to get creative.
