Hey hey! I did a demo of the Centaur’s Gate from Shakmat if anyone is interested:
This guy is still empty. I’m hoping to have time to build the PCBs and wire everything maybe in January. I had a little free time the other night, so I populated the panel. Thought I’d grab a few pics afterward.
I ordered one of these, recieved an e-mail yesterday to say it will be shipped this week (with a little build video!). I have a Moon Phase & MUM M8, and had been wanting a traditional ladder/growly filter in my rack, the extra sub–octaves & mixer will be very useful.

Hello elektronauts,
I am looking for custom Eurorack case manufacturers for 6U 52HP for traveling.
Blackholecases, Case from Lake (waiting time 16 weeks, indisputable), Clank, Ikocase, Uryan
Do you have any other suggestions for me?
Thank you for help and answer!
Clank modular. Though I think their smallest is 70hp. But the cases are pure quality!
Sorry forgot to mention the depth. Need 50mm.
The ALM Case not offer this.
I love Synthrotek waterproof cases…not sure if you are in the US or elsewhere…they are based in WA USA.
Is it just for one or two modules in particular? Because the ALM has 54mm depth available in the top row where there’s no power board. Most of the lower row has a bit more than the stated 42mm available too, that’s kind of only really the left hand side where the AC jack etc. is.
Just mentioning because I didn’t realise this for a while and wrote it off, only to find later that it would work for my little mainly digital jankbox (which should be filled tomorrow, excitingly).
Finally pulled the trigger and sold all my modular.
Thanks for all the tips in this thread, inspiring stuff and great seeing everyone’s setups.
Good luck in your journey!
I just sold most of mine, then realized I dont make music, I just love patching and hearing weird sounds, so just ordered stuff to replace most everything I sold…it never ends!
@therockfrog My rack is constantly yoyoing. What did you order this time?
As already mentioned, The ALM case has 54mm depth , or about 42mm over the power supply. So depending on how you juggle your modules, it might be a goer.
Check out Damaru travel cases over at Elevator Sound. They have 50/60 hp offerings with or without power and plenty of depth. Powered cases use Konstant Lab PSU’s. Can’t go wrong with them

This is my 60 hp unpowered case.
Here are the modules as you said in the upper level. The Expert Sleepers + the two Doepfer modules each have 50mm.
The only question is will the cable from the ES-9 to the midi module be long enough?
Should fit like this!
Re-assembled the modules into my Case From Lake, had them in a smaller Doepfer case with the DFAMs in their original assemblies but it was getting quite annoyed with the mess patching between both cases, also it was cumbersome to bring the setup to jam with friends. Outside the case is a Beatstep Pro for sequencing duties.
The main purpose when I started this case/instrument was to find happy accidents of unique percussion, so far it can kinda deliver it but it’s still a work in progress.
Now I need to rework the setup, sell some modules, overtime I didn’t consider very well the newer purchases, found some 2nd hand modules at a good price, and it got quite unbalanced. Don’t have much need for the Black Quad VCA (it’s audio only feel I need more VCAs for CV), don’t think I need the big Erica Synths Mixer either.
I miss having more filters, think at least a dual VCF in a small HP footprint would be very useful, probably more EGs/modulation even though Pam’s can give me quite a lot it’s all tempo-synced.
The ES-9 was probably the best purchase for this kit, didn’t expect having a hybrid modular/computer could be so much fun, having all the FX in the computer saves A LOT of cash, also using Bitwig’s modulation/sequencing on the 8 outs is a godsend.
Personally I would do something like this, should be no problem at all since the Assimil8or etc. on the bottom row are all quite shallow. Of course the sides could be switched too if you prefer the MIDI ports on the right:
The Damaru cases are also supposed to be very good and I considered them but since the ALM fit I went with that and have been happy with it.
And speaking of this… (sorry for the very non-pro photography):
Planned this out because a) I love Kermit but it didn’t fit into my main system well since that’s kind of all analog-y and doing the button combos with it in there was very awkward and b) because I wanted something to take to my mate’s who mainly has subtractive style stuff. Thankfully he has a Keystep so hopefully we should be able to sequence it from the Digitakt via that without too many hitches!
Hey
Just a little feedback. Case is nearly finished. Should be on its way next week. In the end I went for 9U 126hp. Just in case
Here are a couple of pics sent from Alberto today as he was testing the powering system for me. I have been designing the powering system myself with the help of Dan from DPW Design (Sweden). 2 x Meanwell LRS 50-12 with a DC Filter from Dan. No 5V rail
