Yes, analogue synth samples are good. But, any interest in digital vst synth one-shot samples?

Since I’ve been using Renoise I’ve been sifting through an endless variety of 64bit and 32bit(especially) Windows vst synths. There are so many wonderful but seemingly forgotten digital instruments out there. I suddenly had the urge to create a massive library of samples out of my vast collection of vst relics which captures their vibe and character and wondered if anyone else would have any interest in owning a sample pack or several maybe like this?

that absolutely sound like the latest trend of 2045. So go ahead

Seems like a good idea and not much covered by anyone.
I liked samples made by Legowelt from old digital Rolands (and even made some tracks from them), so why not do the same from softsynths.

Which ones, by the way?

So far I’m thinking:

Formant-Classic
Abstractor
Extractor
CX5M-V
Most 32bit Elektrostudio vsts
Arido
Scylla
HYDi
XSRDO Analogy
Most 32bit Psychic Modulation vsts
Cleardrum
Noisemo
Stoq
brzoza
Swierk
Ensidesa
Republica

Yeah… those are some of my favorites, it would definitely be quite an undertaking

O__o never heard of any of this. And I remember stuff like Rubberduck, Orangator, VAZ, TS-404, etc

If you can run 32bit I recommend all of them :+1:t2:

For anyone into digital synths, romplers and 90s vibes, this one is a must:

And to be clear I’m thinking mono 16bit wav one-shot files of synths and drums for loading into Hardware samplers like Digitakt, M:S, M8Tracker, PolyendTracker etc.

I’m way more interested in unusual digital sounds than the same ol’ analog stuff over and over. You have my blessing

Yes. I’d love something unabashedly digital.

I had a great sampling session yesterday evening and my momentum is pretty strong. I’m starting off with capturing some drum sounds. It will eventually develop into a “ultra-digital-32bitVST-drumsynth-mega-collection” with lots of gritty and characterful digital percussion sounds of all sorts. Ranging from classic to digital madness. I’m avoiding Roland TR sounds. I want this collection to be a companion or complement or total alternative to typical drum machine sounds.

I’ve been listening to Drukqs vinyl 33rpm and slower on YouTube and I’ve discovered a whole other universe of vibe from his drum grooves and sound design, it’s been the primary inspiration for this. I can’t wait to fill my M:S with this collection and I can’t wait to share it with everyone. This is a labor of love for all fellow groove boxers and trackerers.

I love the spirit of this.
I hope kids of the 2050s are googling " omnisphere rare one shot presets" and " behringer brains vintage Single cycle waveform" If there is anything left by then…
