i have my music setup with a xone96 which is pretty nice. im only asking myself, if i could send the master of the xone (trough the rec out?) in mein digitakt input again to sample my other sources in the mixer. or do i need the master inserts for this? im a little confused. help would be great.

You can send through Rec Out of course, although then you have set output level, independent from the Master out level, depending only on channel gains / faders. If you want additional level knob you can connect either through Master out or Booth out, depending on your set up. But of course Rec Out is fine.
I would use one of the two Sends that the Xone 96 has, rather than the Rec out.
