Going through a box of stuff, I found this thing. It has a 1/4" jack on one end and mini-USB on the other, but no markings on the body. Any idea what it is?
1/4ā to mini USB adapter?
Some kind of DAC and/or interface? Does your computer recognise it if you plug it in?
Looks like a home made usb audio device kinda like the apple headphones dongle
Definately looks 3d printed
Yea definitely 3D printed.
Iād guess itās either to be used as a āMic inā or as a Headphone out.
Is it TRS?
It does look vaguely familiar to me, but I simply canāt remember the thing. It makes sense that Iād have gotten something in the past as an audio in, but when I plugged it into the MacBook just now, it wasnāt recognized. That doesnāt mean it didnāt come with a driver.
I canāt tell if itās TRS.
I guess Iām about to toss it since I havenāt missed it for years. Interestingly, it was in the same box as the missing speaker stand set screws from this thread, so now I have way too many of those.
