Words Used to Describe Gear that Meh you out

Brain, as used for sequencer.
Emkay, for mark, because the person does not understand abbreviations, a needles waste of syllables. I bet their Dr hates them too.
DAW-less or Dawless. Just sounds ignorant and stupid, demonstrates or implies a lack of knowledge of the history of electronic music.

Edit: Even worse, when as is often the case, these are used in the same sentence.

“My emkay2 is my brain when I do a DAW-less jam” :face_vomiting:

Those Fenders with vintage tiny skinny frets in maple boards do feel slippery like butter, and are terrible for me. Turns the guitar in a violin with the worst ergonomics.

Fat thick medium jumbo frets for life.

Just realized I agree with almost everything in this thread. Am I a grumpy old man now?

That’s irrelevant.

Does relevant still relevant in 2024?

“MP”, meaning “MPC”.

Good job. You saved a lot of time by skipping that C.

Is 2024 still relevant?

That’s an eloquent way to put it, but this thread (and many others) just read like.: ‘I don’t like thing!’ :triumph:

I wish that marketing departments would replace “EDM” with “cheesy”. That would make a thing less meh for me.

I’ve also recently learned of gear marketed as “worship” which I find disturbing.
