Will there be Octatrack MK3 anytime soon?

all the Mk3 needs is:

  • more inputs
  • updated FX
  • USB MIDI
  • USB Audio

  • no more compact flash
  • simplified gain structure
  • bigger and colour screen
  • be able to act as usb host
  • internal send Fx (delay and reverb like digi boxes)
  • internal synth engines
  • improved timestretch algorithm
  • class compliant usb audio

What, SD instead? Preferably not the smaller +drive sized embedded storage of course

USB stick? SD card? Installable internal SSD?

internal SSD or floppy disk might work

i like the second crossfader and joystick ideas 🫠

More inputs is a must!

imagine being able to use one crossfader to change track param. the second for FX’s (intensity or morphing) and the joystick for LFO/filter swipes? endless possibilites here!

I can’t wait to see what they come up with… I imagine 48khz stereo sampling, fx, and a crossfader are the only sure things… If cuckoo did indeed say it makes their other samplers obsolete, which I’ve never been able to confirm myself, then I think we’re in for a nice surprise. I’m hoping it’s as fast and intuitive as the digis but more fully featured. The fact that they haven’t rushed the release makes me think they’ve been working on it for a while and it will be another timeless instrument worthy of the flagship sampler legacy

When the NDA finally gets lifted, I think most people will be pretty excited.
