Why no Zoom in/out on sample waveform on DT2

If we see this post and many others requests on elektronauts, this feature is still one of the most requested for the DT1

Many other requests was addressed on the DT1, even others samples options was added, but this one, no chance!

Is there a reason for that omission?

I think that the Digitakt 2 brings what elektron couldn’t add in the DT1 only with programming and now, for me, is one of the best elektron accomplishment

Maybe they could use the C knob as zoom.

The c knob would go from default 0 (what we currently see) right down to very very very zoomed in.

Initially it will zoom on sample start.
Then you move end point and it zooms to sample end.

I once read that the waveform is generated uniquely during reading. It only approximately reflects the sample and is not precise (the starting point in sample chains is often wrong and visually located within the sample). Probably, the graphic capabilities are not designed for precise real-time representation. That’s a pity. Especially zoom for zero crossings is important. So, hearing has to work better. But that works well too.
