thought about add one analog heat to my setup,by research infomation on manual and website, one thing looks like a down-grade of mk2:
tech specification of mk1,main in/out put level and headphone out level +22dbu peak, but the mk2 machine down the all level to +19dbu, also headphone out impedance change to
39Ω from 55Ω,as i knew,all analog elektron machine s headphone impedance was 55Ω.
what is all this about?
…heat offers overall input gainstaging only in three pre fixed levels…low, medium, high…
any details are left to the outputs of the feeding device…
while proper gainstaging is essential to do the whole heat trick…
many complaints from mk1 users who just oversaw the real earcandy heat can offer just because of lack in proper gainstaging…
so, i guess, lowering the impedance a little just makes it more obvious and easy to reach out for the creamy results…
while headphone outs just have to follow up to that decision, to fit the overall equasion again…
no matter what…the analog heat is THE most underrated elektron device out there and always a good investment…
