Why does press+turn osc tune shift in tritones instead of octaves now?

It was so beautiful to use this feature (octave up down with push encoder) on M:S or M:C (Model Cycles) especially for programming note trigs. Owning Syntakt which is a lot more powerful than M:C without ability to quickly change note trig by octave is a bummer. Yes you can do it with 3 hands. The 3rd pushes the red button. The Push+Turn Trig+Note actually behaves erratically, often skipping back to C5. Have you noticed this or is it just me being a new owner of Syntakt ?

I suppose the “push and turn” with 8 encoders on syntakt has something to do with ability to “erase” a select trig by just pushing one of the 8 encoders. So Syntakt “thinks” when you push and turn that you want to delete the trig. Am I right or wrong ?
Deletion of a trigger on M:C or M:S works like this: Hold one of the 16 trig buttons, turn the knob of the trigger that you wish to delete and hit the stop button.
