Don’t get me wrong it was an interesting thread, the key to a good drum machine is work flow as mentioned previously but also the at which all the parts can work together to make a good drum kit. the Rytm is lovely because it the low tom and the bass together are sooo harmonious and have that great low cutoff for the bass and the full dynamic range on the tom also because of the mix of analog and samples give you in one place lots of functionality. I like my LXR becaus I can write algorithm beats. my Volca is great because of its restrictive functionality. the TB-8 is great because it is quick to control.
tools are fun and have there place I could be using my orig al dr rhythm from the early 90s for kicks but all of my new machines give me more muscle to flex.
people find passion in how much one can flex the machines.
